  1. wow my 235 predict was within reach. It left about 5M on the table Saturday and could have done 5M more in Thursday previews. Then 235 it would have made.
  2. ROTS-like Saturday adjusted PTA. $15,500(4,232 locations) ...Gets to about 65 Sat. 55 Fri. 50 Sun. 215 weekend. 70 max Saturday it seems so far... 3. final predicts - they vary slightly from the derby. i worked alot on the final total number making up fantasy Thurs #'s it is nice to see movies holding lots of locations, but a ridiculous amount space is going to go away for them real fast! The Last Jedi - 235.00 Ferdinand - 13.00 Coco - 11.50 - 152.25 Wonder - 5.30 - 109.00 Justice League - 4.00 - 219.30 Disaster Artist - 4.00 - 14.40 DH2 - 3.10 - 95.84 Thor - 2.80 - 306.25 Express - 2.30 - 97.18 Shape of Water - 2.00 - 3.90 Lady Bird - 1.90 - 25.80 The Star - 1.80 - 35.40 Just Getting Started - 1.50 - 6.00 3 Billboards - 1.47 - 21.25 Bad Moms - 1.00 - 70.82 Darkest Hour - 800k - 2.29 - 2.29 Call Me By - 400k - 1.91 XMAS - 300k - 5.054 Roman J. - 200k - 11.817
  4. damnnnnn, Bates & I are close. It looks like this matchup will come down to whether or not Express + DH2 sways up or down. Ferdinand - TLJ - Coco - JL - Wndr - DA - thor - DH2 - Exp. - LB Matrix - 13.00 - 235.00 - 11.50 - 4.16 - 5.50 - 3.90 - 2.80 - 3.00 - 2.28 - 1.90 Bates - 13.00 - 201.70 - 10.80 - 3.90 - 5.20 - 4.20 - 2.80 - 3.20 - 2.50 - 1.90
  5. meh, 45 is 1.5 TDKR and BvS. I think 45 is great. Maybe TFA was just too much? Perhaps some of the preview money was people paying big bucks for top viewing.
  6. the 400+ seat IMAX in southern California, the Irvine Spectrum IMAX, is looking healthy at the 4:30 am showing. 60% +. Dunkirk was selling out there at 1am. The preview might change depending on the all night shows. I think it will increase on this emphasis alone. The average all nighter won't mind going to the theater at 3am. The premier of Star Wars makes this premise enticing.
  7. fascinating film. I think it won 3/4 technical Academy Awards. Gary Oldman gives as crazy a performance as Fifth Element, and Francis Ford Coppla made this and invested alot of attention to detail.
  8. I cannot believe Get Out is getting it for writing and directing. WOW @ Christopher Nolan. He might actually get an oscar nomination, but I feel 50/50. Get Out might pull it off over Dunkirk w/ Guillermo coming in too!
  9. what is up with mother! not showing up for accolades on wikipedia? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother!
  10. Three years ago, Chris Rock's Top Five opened during the second weekend in December and made 6.9M from 979 theaters for a $7,045 avg. If Distaster Artist has the same PTA, it will make 5.92 weekend. ....I put 5M in the Derby.... ahhh!!! I should have stuck with 6M. Im gonna loose lots of points. I put 3M for Just Getting Started. It is possible for it to collapse from Deadlines estimate and actually make 3M for the weekend (then I should win). hahahaahaha.
