Hunger Games peaked with Catching Fire. Still going to make alot of money though so im sure the studio isnt worried about that. Lionsgate is probably more concerned about their company post-HG; They need to find another hit badly, because this franchise literally kept it afloat for four years.

I just can't get into Hart. People still find the height thing funny I guess so this should do well but I really wish Martin Lawrence, Eddie Murphey, Chris Rock etc. made more movies.

underwhelming numbers for the finale, but i was predicting under MJ P1 anyway so i guess it's not surprising, but HG has never been a frontloaded series so maybe it will have good enough legs to get past 300m.

No apparently, Chastain had to do this as a part of her contract for signing up on Crimson's Peak. Theron wasn't going to come back unless they paid her the same amount as Hemsworth. I dont know why Blunt signed on though.

Passengers is a sci-fi romance and Rogue One is probably going to be more fan-driven than general audience. Jumanji is probably moving, that doesn't even have a director or cast yet. Miss Peregrine will probably be the only film competing with Sing for families.

Huge drop from the first one. I dont know why they even bothered with a sequel, more than a decade later. I doubt the budget was very high, probably less than 20m. So it's not a huge risk for the studio and should be good counter-programming against BvS.

Daddairo and Dobrev are probably the favorites for this. I wish they would have gone for a real comedian though. Any one of the SNL actresses would have been good especially Kate Mckinnon

The Walk: Too much competition for adult audiences, it opened between The Martian/Sicario/Bridge of SPies/The INtern so it had no room to breathe. Pan- bad reviews, and bad marketing; families preferred HT2 I dont think Peter Pan is attractive to audiences. Crimson Peak: bad WOM, wasnt really a horror film. Niche audiences. Last Witch Hunter: also wasnt really a horror film. Niche audiences. Jem & the Holograms: backlash from fans, horrible marketing. Rock the Kasbah: horrible reviews, little to no marketing. BUrnt: bad release date plus little marketing. Crisis: bad reviews, bad release date, questionable subject matter..

It should get around 70m-75m

Universal had some of the biggest publicized flops this year: Blackhat, Seventh Son, Steve Jobs, and Jem & the Holograms. I guess you take the good with the bad.
