  1. Wikipedia is your best bet. Otherwise, no. Sadly Nielsen doesn't like people keeping records of ratings, so any source that reports on ratings will delete those reports after two weeks.
  2. Blah. Parks and Recreation numbers are depressing.
  3. I just saw it for my blog. It's called the Mob Doctor, it has a ridiculous premise, and it takes itself 100% seriously.
  4. I want it to succeed. The pilot does leave a lot to be desired. I predict it will fall because reception to the show hasnt been good. It's rare to read comments on sites that are positive.
  5. My review is finally up. After a second viewing, I still think this show has promise but it does have some serious obstacles to overcome. The primary one being Charlie.
  6. Renewed/Cancelled A handy guide to which broadcast network (ABC/CBS/CW/FOX/NBC/ION) series have been renewed or cancelled. For cable shows, I'll answer individual requests if you're too lazy to find out. 8. Guys with Kids...well you can always read my review on my blog for full thoughts but...yeesh, couldn't they have spent more than one minute to create at least basic character types for...almost every character?
  9. One one the funniest things New Girl has done:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDWpcDkuj9gAnyways, back on topic: the Mindy Project can develop into a good ensemble comedy but I'm also a bit concerned that it lacks focus as it's also trying to be a romantic comedy of sorts.
  10. The pilot is on Hulu. I like it almost as much as I like Ben & Kate (pilot also on Hulu).
  11. Because you can talk about new shows that are terrible in this thread without a name change. For instance:The New Normal is a pretty terrible show. It's not funny, it's too political, and it simply depends too much on stereotype humor (but in a bad way).
  12. No idea when it's coming out, but Im doing a film around the time of the American Revolution. Not sure yet how much into the Revolution it will go, if at all, but I want to present a portrait of Colonial America on the eve of the war.
  13. Just chiming in here. While it's okay to have some subtlety, it seems like something like making sure people knew about the proper chronology of the film is important to the plot and hence making it as hidden as you seem to have done so is a weakness of the film. I haven't read it-but there's some things that you just have to establish in a film. Expecting viewers to get it, especially when they're merely reading what the films are about rather than actually seeing them (where you presumably could actually get away with what you did), isn't something you should take for granted.

  15. Well, I'm waiting to judge them. When Fringe premiered, I thought that Anna Torv was a terrible actress. Now I think she deserves an Emmy. Then again, this girl in Revolution looks like she's constipated when she was trying to show emotion.
  16. It's very rare to find a subtle pilot, since a pilot's entire purpose is setting up things. Anyways: -The action does look a bit subdued, but considering that this is broadcast TV and they want families to watch this, I can live with this. Not everything has to be "The Walking Dead" -The series does start with generic archetypes, but future episodes should flesh them out. -I don't like the main actress or the actor portraying the brother. Here's hoping they get better. Everyone on TV is attractive unless there's a plot reason for them to be ugly. At least it's not as bad as the CW.
  17. When the year is finished, PM me or Impact so one of us can close the thread.
  18. Young Viewers: (average, based on demo: http://tvbythenumber...edition/147028/)ABC: 3.03 millionCBS: 3.66 millionCW: 1.01 millionFOX: 4.04 millionNBC: 3.16 millionPercentage:ABC: 36.20%CBS: 27.49%CW: 59.41%FOX: 45.44%NBC: 43.05%So, yes. CBS does skew older but simply because it just gets a bigger audience overall (Only network with over 10 million average). But this has given people the wrong impression, that only old people watch CBS and therefore they don't care about the demo. Their biggest shows (NCIS, Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, 2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother) are all doing just as well in the demo as FOX's hits do-some even better. They have the number one drama in the demo, not just viewers. The FOX Chief recently stated that CBS is going to win in the young demo because FOX no longer has American Idol be such a juggernaut. I think I misspoke when I said "more young-skewing", but there should be no reason to think that CBS is just for old farts when it's attracting the second biggest young audience total. Actually the Superbowl was on NBC, and only reason it beat ABC. One of the reasons CBS is expected to win this season is because it has the Superbowl:http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/05/16/easy-guess-cbs-to-win-adults-18-49-ratings-crown-in-2012-13-for-the-first-time-in-20-years/134534/
  19. Yeah, it's audience skews old, but that's not telling the whole picture. That gives the impression that young people don't watch CBS, when they indeed do. A lot of them do and that's who CBS cares about, just like any other network.
