  1. i don't count toddlers or babies as kids. They're a whole separate group to me. There's a reason there's a Disney Channel and a Disney Junior, that there's a Nickelodeon and a Nick Jr. I count the Middle as a family show. I count The Neighbors as a family show. These two are shows whose target is the entire family, not just kids and not just adults. They're marketed that way. My Little Pony is marketed at little girls. You just described Rugrats, Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, Dragonball, Catdog, and just about every cartoon worth it's salt.
  2. Adventure Time and iCarly are aimed solely at kids (I count preteens as kids) and most Dreamworks Animated films are definably aimed at kids.Nice try.
  3. So let me get this straight. You seriously think My Little Ponies isn't a show aimed at selling toys at little girls? Regardless of what the producers state, you think that because adults like it this means My Little Ponies is a show for adults?
  4. Nowadays? Surprisingly often. Adventure Time, iCarly, Pixar films, some Dreamworks films all come to mind.
  5. I think you seemed to have ignored my comment where I stated that kid's films can be good. Otherwise you wouldn't seem to be bothered by the fact that I do lump together entertainment aimed at youth together. In fact, I'm a huge fan of quality kid's shows/films but that doesn't change the fact that their still for kids despite their different aims and tones.
  6. You want to make girls feel bad for liking shows meant for boys? In essence, Pixar films are kid films. They're intended for kids. Trying to deny this is silly. Are they amazing films that have been able to transcend their demographic? Sure, but they're still kids films. Don't assume that just because it's meant for kids that it can't be good. So good that it's mainstream, whereas the adult fanbase of this show is very small (to the point that it's a niche).I'm not stating this show isn't any good or anything. I'm just explaining why people accept liking one thing and not the other.
  7. I don't know. It's generally a one-way street in this regards. It might have been a goal for the creators to attract a large audience but that doesn't change the intended demographic.
  8. Why not? I mean, he would have to be talked into it, but I don't see it as out-of-character. I thought it was funny and maybe the series is aiming for a "they've been in a gay relationship this whole time" reveal at the end of the season.
  9. There's a difference between liking Looney Toons, cartoons which weren't just made for children but a general audience, and this show, which is aimed directly at 6-year-old girls.
  10. The only response to this:https-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=37HXByCFyhg
  11. Community is all about being meta and sometimes the meta itself is the joke.
  12. Or just a way for the show to acknowledge that Annie's Boobs had his own show.
  13. Making a reference to the show is not a dig.
  14. What twist after twist? There was only one legitimate twist in those last five minutes. I have to agree, the kidnapped brother story has gotten old. I was hoping he'd be rescued or killed. More killed than anything. That scene where he got beat up by Neville made me so happy.
  15. And here I thought they were going to become best friends and ride ponies!
  16. I should add a blockbuster hopeful to December 17th just for the heck of it. An R-rated comedy about two cops who can barely stand each other called "Partners for Life" and I'll put....umm....Mark Wahlberg and....Will Smith!:POr am I joking? I don't know!
  17. There's always been superhero animated cartoons on the air so I wouldn't see this as a sign of anything.
  18. Yes, it's imaginary but we have some rules within the game's workings that we adhere to. Unless you're adaption of a kid's show is going to get really disturbing by including pedophilia as a theme, then I think you might want to recast.
  19. Actually you don't really have to give notice ahead of time. It's the nice thing to do, but not required.
  20. DId you actually read the film or are your projecting the hatred of the film simply based on your opinions of the video game franchise?
  21. Trust me...when you see this week's episode...the potential is realized and then some more. Like drop whatever you're doing and watch it now. I wasn't exaggerating when I said this was the best episode it's ever had.
  22. I think the "Beast" was literally cast because of his pretty face.Let that sink in.
