  1. Nope, I did not. :lol:How awesome would it be to end your movie with this shocking cliff-hanger:The characters get back into the refrigerator and right as they're transported, a nuclear explosion goes off. Did they make it? Or are they in the real world and this is a refrigerator like the one in Indiana Jones?
  2. Do a magical refrigerator! No-one will see that coming!
  3. If you seriously don't think that he had a board to answer to, then you don't know how corporations work.
  4. Numbers, that magazine post is amazing.
  5. Star Wars has been a corporate product for a while now.
  6. that's Alfred's studio I believe. My studio name is "Whatever Studios" which shows you just how important studio names really are.
  7. The more I think about it, the more Tom Hooper is wrong for my film. I'm too lazy to find another director though...
  8. I believe FOX, not Disney, has the rights to the original SW trilogy in terms of releasing stuff to Blu-Ray. I could be wrong. And, I'm sorry, but how are they not leaders with innovation? They bought Marvel and started one of the most successful franchises in history that ended with the Avengers. Disney Channel started the whole trend of manufactured teeny bobby shows. Their broadcast network, ABC, has some of the most original shows on television: 666 Park Avenue, Once Upon a Time, and Last Resort (and this is despite Pushing Daisies' flop). You might not agree with Disney's approach but they are one of the most successful media companies in the world for a reason. Yes, they are greedy but they would be a terrible company if they didn't work to maximize profits. I have no idea whether the deal is different or not, but a Creative Consultant is the same as a Consultant Producer. In case you're wondering how much power they have, I recommend looking for Dan Harmon's blog post after he got fired. It's essentially an honorary position where you're paid to show up and not do much else. He can give his two cents but nobody has to follow what he says.
  9. Yes BOM is Box Office Mojo.
  10. Some points:Did you and Alfred actually agree to split the total amount of prints involved? Why are you dictating Hindenburg's marketing? There have been no reviews-how then can you show priceless reactions? I would wait until you actually get reviews of the film before stating the early buzz has been great. As for the poll, yeah I don't think anyone is going to take it seriously.
  11. The NeighborsScandalhave received back-nine orders.(Updated first post also with specific episode counts for some of the orders)
  12. They have a treatment but I wouldn't be surprised if someone else actually writes the script. Lucas is a good producer/director but a good writer he is not.
  13. Poor Lord Madship fans. They pay to go see the movie in IMAX only to have 12 minutes spent on previewing two other movies.
  14. None whatsoever. This marketing info is just for fun and largely there to help make the world feel more real but since many players (like me) aren't participating, it makes no sense to take this thread into consideration when doing actuals.
  15. I don't think it was because they didn't have balls. I mean, first of all writing off main characters is so in right now (Boardwalk Empire, the Walking Dead, Game of Thrones) and second it's not what they wanted to do. I mean, yes they could have written him off but it's clear the show has a plan and it involves him.Not only that but the core of the show is the messed up bond between Claire and him. You remove him from that dynamic and the show won't necessarily get bad, but it'll be missing it's heart. I don't care how many balls a show has, one that removes it's heart is a stupid show.
  16. Yeah. If we had gone to the prison at any time during the episode, then this episode wouldn't have worked as well. This entire episode had one singular focus: introduce Woodsbury (or whatever the town is called) and the Governor. Prison sub-plots would have distracted from that.It was slower but at least it wasn't dull.
  17. Changed the director to Tom Hooper. Please use the Year 5 Discussion thread to discuss director conflicts.
  18. He has a week. That's enough time to write a long movie if he wants. Only if you're planning on releasing a movie in the near future. If you just post a movie to a franchise that nobody has taken, you'll be fine.
  19. Name: Killer Husband Director: Tom Hooper Genre: Drama Date: June 4th Cast: John Krasinski…Rick Elizabeth Banks…Amanda Dylan Baker…Mark Michelle Williams…Elizabeth Plot: Theaters: 3,000 MPAA Rating: R for Violence Budget: $35 million
  20. Well Year 5 has already started. You can release a film at any time during Year 5 that you want. There is a franchise thread. The rule is that if someone else has the rights or if there's going to be a real-life movie then it's not allowed.
  21. I also skip it for the most part.Anything beyond Year 5 is just planning for future films by players. You don't have to worry about that at all.
  22. To make more movies? Yeah, but you can also play in the other parts when you feel ready.
  23. We're just beginning a year so you can jump in any time. I believe the deadline is at the end of this week.
