I have been following box office for almost 15 years now. I've seen some crazy stuff. But NOTHING even remotely compares to just how absolutely and unquestionably insane these numbers are. I didn't dream of this happening for at least another 10 to 20 years. What a time to be a box office fan. Also, if Deadline's 157 is in the ballpark, I guarantee it's announced as $160 million in the morning. If there's any movie to somehow make $100 million on a true Friday, this is it. 160 (60 previews) 105 95 OW: 360 Dom: 1.015 billion (yes, it's an insane number, but I think it's happening finally. 360 is too big for me to miss it.) In 2015, an original Pixar (The Good Dinosaur) film sacrificed itself for Star Wars (Episode VIII). In 2018, an original Star Wars (Solo) film returns the favor for Pixar (Incredibles 2).
