    Wow, just goes to show how out of the loop i am. Never would have thought people are so crazy about a Mario movie. Personaly, i don't give a shit but maybe that will lead to more - interesting - game adaptations.

    It's at 680.4m DOM (OS hasn't gotten updated yet, i think). Might finish with around $685m. Too bad, had it been a few million more Disney might have been inclined to push it to hit $700m. Oh, well, a great success nevertheless...

    That is not my experience. Deadline is pretty accurate when it comes to preview / OD numbers. As accurate as you can be so early on.

    Indeed. Keaton is the reason Flash was trending and he is the reason i might drag my ass to a theater near me to watch this even though i'm not that big on CBMs.

    Shazam flopping has no bearing on Flash. Judging from buzz Flash is gonna do very well.

    This discussion always comes up when something doesn't pan out, usually after the fact. We should be glad studios are still taking bets on unproven IPs or even filmmakers once in a while instead of critising them.

    Why is Russian box office not part of the offical gross then? Are those basically pirated copies?

    I was going by Box Office Mojo where Russia isn't listed. Are we sure that's an officially sanctioned release? I thought Hollywood isn't releasing movies there...

    Around 100m short i wouldn't call "significantly". If we take away Russia because A2 isn't playing there, it's only about 50m short.

    I watched Demon Slayer on Netflix until a certain point where an extremely annoying character shows up. I just couldn't bare his spasms...

    For everybody disilusioned after Picard Season 1 & 2 (and much of NuTrek, really) like myself, Season 3 might restore some of the faith. So far, two episodes in, i'm really enjoying it. The new showrunner seems to have thrown out almost everything the previous franchise stewards have concocted and brought the old gang back, the music is very refential to the old themes and i love it. Seems like a fun adventure is in store, with a genuinely touching moment already.
