Yeah, this is the kind of movie where even the slightest possible hint of animal cruelty on set would've been enough to sink it. Oh well. -
Remember a few days ago when I said @Telemachos was gonna go see this movie just to laugh out loud every time the dog dies and is reincarnated? We see you, you evil ancient bastard! You orchestrated all of this!

Most theaters around me are putting those two in the same auditorium, theater drops will be ugly next weekend. Silence isn't even making $10M in total at this point even if it somehow surprises on Tuesday.

Oh god, it's gonna do horrible. Most of the theaters that were showing it last weekend around me are already cutting showtimes starting tomorrow.

Most times I ever saw a movie in theater was the original Jurassic Park with a record of 5 times. Of course, that was a much different time when movies would play for much longer and when I didn't see anywhere nearly as many movies in theaters as I do now.

The story's probably overblown (who knows), but yeah, the damage is done. This movie's existence will be completely forgotten by the time Valentine's Day comes around.

Affleck has survived far greater embarrassments than this (Bennifer/Gigli, yikes), so he'll be fine. Good news is that it's looking to come and go with no one caring (every theater that's announced their showtimes this weekend is trimming it down to 2 shows a day, so it's gonna be quickly disappearing once those contracts are up). WB ended a really good 2016 for them at the box office on a horrible note with two starry busts (Collateral Beauty and this), though.
