  1. Why does the wallpaper on the forum keep changing?
  2. Had no idea the exchange rate discrepancy had become that significant. So Avatar today would have only made $56m USD?
  3. I think it did have an impact, actually, even if relatively slight in the overall scheme of things. I'm not sure if there's another compelling rationale for it having a higher Sunday drop than IW followed by a stronger Monday hold. Spillover like this should have resulted in a stronger Sunday drop otherwise.
  4. GoT was amazing... will be astounded if I'm half as invested seeing EG tonight, but I've not been the biggest fan of the series. I do think the higher drop on Sunday compared to IW could be indicative of some kind of negative effect. It will be truly something if it manages a $40m Monday, though.
  5. The number of pages in this thread is absurd. Almost 1 for every million EG made this weekend lol. I'm guessing it'll hit 400 before the end... is this the biggest weekend thread ever? I can't keep up... I leave and come back and there are suddenly another 70 pages to get through.
  6. This ekes out TFA for breakest the single-day record by the highest percentage (31.5% w/ estimates) since 1982. This comes with the caveat that ROTJ's highest day ended up breaking The Wrath of Khan's previous record by 53.6%. 7. I'm a little curious why Men in Black was so big (relatively speaking) in Germany. Was it that Independence Day after-glow?
  8. It's somewhat inexplicable/embarrassing, but I guess their catalog of hits (which is quite strong, to be fair) is that indelible with the public.
  9. I just noticed BOM has Bohemian Rhapsody at $24m in the Netherlands (somehow). Where does that rank all-time? In USD I only see Titanic ($29.7m) and Skyfall ($25.1m) higher.
  10. Impressive number for CM. Hopefully the Friday increase isn't conversely muted.
  11. I feel like I see more people down on objectively successful runs in this thread more than any other all due to expectations built on pre-sales.
  12. WB should extend the ASIB: Encore release if they want to edge out BR domestically.
