  1. DH2, AUJ's teaser, MOS, Cloud Atlas and some trailers for Jupiter Ascending are among the best I've ever seen. Curiously, they are all WB movies.
  2. Just checked: An Unexpected journey made 120M from DVD/Blu sales in the US. DOS made 88M from DVD/Blu in the US. I'm really interested in the international home sale, considering how popular TH is OS. Either way, a massive cash cow for WB.
  3. Silmarillion>Unfinished Tales> LOTR>History of Middle Earth>The Hobbit
  4. Tolkien is an amazing storyteller and from all his works I love Silmarillion the most. I often found his history/myths to be so well conceived and interesting.
  5. Watching this on TV. Really nice. A
  6. aDIM, your PM is not working. I wanted to comment on how similar our taste in movies is without derailing this thread
  7. It has a compelling story with a relatable lead and I like Hawking and his work so...
  8. Well, I thought it has one of the best trailers I've ever seen so I can't wait for it.
  9. Niiiiiice! I'm really curious how much it will end up with and how it will do compared to here.
  10. Even though that is a big increase from TH2, with such a good release date (from what I hear) and no major competition I hope TH3 does a bit better. 125-130M maybe. Would it be possible?
  11. Considering it is reported it sold 5M copies in the fist day alone I find it hard to believe it only sld 1.2M or the rest of the week. Also, 6M seems weak for Guinness World Record.
  12. IDK how reliable Wikipedia is, but concening HP4: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Potter_and_the_Goblet_of_Fire_%28film%29
  13. Just caught this on TV. Really liked it. I don't get the people's problem with the ending. It was perfectly fine. A-
  14. If TH hits 9M it would have a better drop than ROTK again.
  15. Weekend Update 2: Crazy busy day for 'Seventh Son'. Last week I was thinking 30.000+ adm OW, now 40.000+ seems likely. It could be frontloaded, but it has a lot of sellouts. 'Into the Woods' continues to disappoint. I'm just curious if it will end up more in the 'flop' territory or in the 'bomb' one. 'The Hobbit' is losing a massive amount ofshowtimes this weekend and I really get why. 'Seventh Son' taking away some of it's 3D screens is probably the main reason. Still, it is very busy everywhere.
  16. Well, then Happy Baumer Day everyone! Hm... when should we get some numbers for TH?
  17. Weekend Update: 'Seventh Son' is looking very busy everywhere so I expect a good opening for it. People seem excited. The main theatre chain sells tickets only for Bucharest for 'Into the Woods' and even there the presales are horribly weak. I don't know if this means it will have a limited release or not. However, unless it has major walk-ins it will flop. A week in advance, 'Taken 3' is starting to look like a major player. A lot of 50% full shows already. 'The Hobbit' is by far the leader in presales, but in many locations it's starting to lose shows. Hoping the drop will be good.
  18. 2012 is one of the best movies ever made.
  19. Hmm... Jensen Ackles in Top 5 and Cam Gigandet on the list. So damn good!
