  1. Tell me about it?It'll open here in the next few weeks and it will be freakin huge. It's almost a lock to beat all SH movies this year
  2. Your fanboyism is getting annoying really fast. 3 out of your every 4 posts insult another movie.
  3. 3000? Nah, too early. Sin City 2 need more time to get a cult following I hope As Above/So Below makes at least 15M. The trailer looks good.
  4. It was... decent, I guess. I have such mixed feeling about this show. I haven't seen the old series, but I watched all 8 seasons from 2005 till now. In the first one, I didn't like Eccleston as the Doctor, but Billie Piper was the perfect companion. Then came David Tennant who was absolutely brilliant. The seasons with him and Piper are my favourite ones. Then Freema Agyeman (Martha)... I was beyond pissed they replaced Rose. But then they change Tennant and that made me to almost completely lose interest in the show. Took some getting used to to accept Matt Smith as the Doctor. I really liked Karen Gillan's character (Amy). Also dig Jenna Coleman' and I'm glad she's back (the top is like this: Rose >>>> Amy > Clara >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Martha). But Capaldi's just... I don't know. I like him even less than Eccleston... So Tennant >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Smith >>>>>>> Eccleston > Capaldi. But at least we got this:
  5. Actually, 'Into the Storm' is the best movie out there The rest rate from 'good' to 'crap'.
  6. Such a good movie. I like every point of view and each story. The acting's top notch: Bateman, Thieriot, Patton, Skarsgard. A+
  7. 1. The Hobbit 3 2. Jupiter Ascending 3. The Maze Runner 4. Minions 5. Nightcrawler 6. Interstellar 7. Dracula Untold 8. Taken 3 9. 50 Shades 10. Mad Max
  8. Bloody awful for the openers. The next 2-3 weekends look even worse. I don't see any breakouts until 'Maze Runner'. Maybe 'Dolphin Tale 2' will do decent? Also, what's with "Atlas Shrugged III"? The first two completely bombed. Were they strong DVD sellers or what?
  9. Yeah. The first one made 2.52M. The second one made 2.48M. Avatar is no. 1 with 5.7M. Aside from that, only Ice Age (the last two) and POTC (the last one) made over 2M.
  10. Haha, after the final Hobbit lands, TH trilogy will own the #2, #3 and #4 all time. I can't see anyting in the near future to top them. Maybe the next Ice Age or POTC. But as I said, it's an expanding market. Weird things can happen
  11. I made my estimate based on the anticipation in my country, which is big despite the fact that the books were never published here and 'Teen Wolf' is not on TV. Europe will do big number for this and the marketplace is empty. 200M is not that much.
  12. Because it's Relativity we're talking about (EtE is already their no. 7 movie of all time) and because they can do it: the market is as emply as it gets. TF is also expanding.
  13. Really nice. I hope 'If I Stay' gets close to the higher end. Also, any word on Sin City's midnight? You'd think that with a built in (micro) fan base it will be front loaded and have decent previews.
  14. Top 5 here: 300, WoWS, Noah, Maleficent, Pompeii. Also Lucy last week had a bigger OW than GoTG and CAP2
  15. Romania's an expanding market. Just imagine that in 2007 no movie made $0.5M. Now we have around 10 over 1M movies each year and quite a few over 2M (especially Ice Age, Hobbit, Pirates movies). Avatar made close to 6M. And if you wanna talk anomalies, Percy Jackson is one of the biggest movies ever here, much bigger than any Marvel/DC/HP . Also 'Pompeii' and 'The Legend of Hercules' (the Kellan Lutz movie) will beat most films this year, including Marvel ones. Right now, the biggest of 2014 is '300: Rise of an Empire' (closely followed by 'The Wolf of Wall Street') and it will almost certainly remain that way till the final Hobbit movie comes and becomes no. 2 all time after Avatar. Also, just to realise how much the market has grown, in 2006 'The Da Vinci Code' was the top movie. In 2008, 'Angels & Demons' made a bit more than 'Da Vinci', but it was no. 11 for the year. In 2015, SW7 and Inferno will open head to head and 'Inferno' has a really good chance of ending on top. Dan Brown is immensely popular here.
  16. That is so weird (and funny at the same time ). Looking at the BOM 2014 BO for Portugal, I realise it's just a bit bigger than Romania's and we are NOT a movie going country. I mean yeah, the population difference is about 8M, but the piracy here is a VERY BIG issue.
  17. I love this top: 1. Jennifer Love Hewitt 2. Megan Fox 3. Emma Watson 4. Evangeline Lilly 5. Angelina Jolie
  18. I love experimental and psychological movies and this was a little bit of both. The subject (drugs) was interesting to me and the actors were good. The ending left me easily uncomfortable and pissed which is good with this sort of movies and to watch the characters spiraling down in madness was just fascinating. B+
