  1. This is one of the most resonable lists I've seen this far.
  2. LOL Neo, be serious. The 60M copies sold update for the book is over two years old (the update was made in august 2012). It is still in the top 10 best selling books in the US even now (take a look at the New York Times Best Seller list). It most likely surpassed 70M copies. And the trailer is one of the most watched ever. The reactions to it seem to be very positive and the buzz for this is sky high. It won't miss 60M. Period.
  3. 'Roaring Currents' is unstoppable Also good to see 'Into the Storm' making decent money OS. It only opened in Russia and France from the big markets, right?
  4. Do you think 'Fantastic Beasts' will be big, being a Potter spin-off and all? If so, Potter might keep the crown for a little longer.
  5. Kung Fu Panda 2 I think. It made close to 100M. And Dragons won't touch it probably.
  6. I think studios go more and more for the OS audiences. Ice Age, Despicable Me, Madagascar and now Dragon. These are huge WW players and the OS audiences are easier to please. In a world where a movie as critically trashed as TF makes over 300M from just one OS market it's easy to see why filmmakers would care less about the DOM audience. Dragon 3 will easily make 500M+ OS. Even with a 150m budget, that alone will make the movie a success.
  7. Also, not a bad drop for 'Into the Storm', nice drop for 'Lucy', good increase for 'Boyhood' and 'The Purge: Anarchy' finally passed 70M DOM and 100M WW. Despite everything, it was a good weekend.
  8. And Baumer was right (again) about the 3.5M+ difference between TMTN and GotG. People should respect him more
  9. This will finish with over 1.08B and that's with being more or less a reboot, with a whole new cast. It the rumors are true and Fox and Shia come back for TF5 and Bay is still in charge 1B OS (China alone will make over 400M and I can imagine it increasing in other territories) or around that and close to 300M DOM (I think the the cast being replaced hurt it a bit) would be on the table.
  10. Nah. It added 22M this week. I can see it finishing around 850M. Still incredible. Avengers (the assemble) aside, there's no currently running franchise that can match it.
  11. The first one had incredible WOM and a 3.3x multiplier. Yeah, this will be more froantloaded but even so, a 2x multiplier is unlikely. That's Paranormal Activity level and it's not going to happen. The OW sounds good though.
  12. No. Frozen's at 873M. But it is locked to be #11 all time WW. Maybe even #10, ahead of TDKR if Japan has good holds.
  13. I've seen pretty much every 'Scooby-Doo' related thing ever made The only thing that matches my SD fanboyism is my HP one. While I was ten or so Cartoon Network had a week long SD marathon. Just SD all day. During that week I've only left the room for bathroom and food I love Cyber Chase (it was on CN two days ago ). Also 'Aloha!' and 'Chill Out, SD!'. But I like the others more. It's really hard to choose.
  14. Re-watched Loch Ness a few days ago and it was just as great as when I saw it the first time on TV I put Zombie and Mummy higher because Zombie is a lot darker and I really liked the real monster approach on it, plus the animation is just perfect. And Mummy for the same reason I rate TF2 above TF1. Egypt. Exotic locations and culture. And the soundtrack. All movies have great soundtrack, but these three are among my favourites:
  15. 1. Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island 2. Scooby-Doo in Where's My Mummy? 3. The Lion King 2 4. Ratatouille 5. Scooby-Doo and the Loch Ness Monster 6. Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders 7. The Pagemaster 8. The Adventures of Tintin 9. Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers 10. Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf 11. Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King 12. Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost 13. Ice Age 2 14. Despicable Me 2 15. Beauty and the Beast 16. Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas 17. Puss in Boots 18. The Tale of Despereaux 19. Mr. Peabody & Sherman 20. A Scanner Darkly Yeah, I'm biased
  16. Re-watched this with my bro. He saw it for the first time. I liked it now just as much as in the theatre. Really solid and the best SH movie the year. My brother laughed at times and 'whoa'-d a lot He liked it more than the first one. The only thing that pissed him off was Gwen's death at the end. I found it really fitting. The best thing about the whole movie is DeHaan. From playing a spoiled brat-a friend and a psycho, the guy did it perfectly. It was one of those movies where I rooted for the bad guy. Really neat overall. A
  17. I'd say it has a pretty good chance of hitting that. It's very popular, the books are selling like crazy in the US, has an interesting premise and the trailers were good and well received. Add the the main actor's increasing popularity and there you have it.
  18. I was talking movies in general but I'll take your word for it. That title sound vile.
  19. But 99% of the movies don't have so many continuity errors that you can't understand the plot. There are mostly technicalities and I don't mind them. The things I was saying about TF for example I noticed only after 7-8 viewings. I can ignore everything, as long as the movies respects my patterns of what I want to see in a movie belonging to that genre.
