  1. Yeah, I watched some of PJ's Youtube videos about making TH. Really makes you appreciate things more.
  2. Just makes you think how much work goes into smth like TF, TH or Pirates.
  3. 200M. It's a good target and I think it'll be a pretty leggy movie.
  4. This really came as a nice surprise. Since my "to watch" TV shows (GoT, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Supernatural, Bates Motel, Elementary) are all on vacation I needed something to replace them and after a lot of "No, I won't watch this, it's like Twilight" and a lot of good reviews from a lot of people I decided to give it a chance. So I started the show almost two weeks ago and now I'm up to date with it. Yeah, I really dig it. And I was surprised no one made a thread for this. As for the seasons, I rate them like this: Season 1 - decent (the humor makes up for the cheesy moments) Season 2 - better than the first (again, lots of humor and better mithology) Season 3 (Part 1) - ok (it gets a little more mature-ish) Season 3 (Part 2) - fuckin brilliant! (a lot darker and psychological; for the first time I felt the series doesn't need humor to make up for it's mistakes) Season 4 (till now) - decent (comparing it to the first one it's and improvement, but after the second part of Season 3 it's fuckin disappointing) Discuss.
  5. So love this show. Also can't wait for the next season since Jennifer Love Hewitt will join the cast
  6. Really nice for top 2. I see both of them making around 16M for the weekend. Now that school began and both are family movies the drops should be smaller right?
  7. Now watching the opening scene. The soundtrack (Patrick Doyle is a bloody genius; the only soundtrack better than this is POA's one), the tone, the cinematography... its just astounding! Yeah, there are moments that could've been better, but it's fast pace is what makes it stand out. A+
  8. I think what you wanted to say was: "Meh C+"
  9. OK. Now I know you're trolling. Like in every HP thread.
  10. Well, why would you pay to see this kind of movies in a theatre? Probably they make good money from DVD, Bluray, VOD and a lot of money from TV reruns. There are a lot of sport fans out there.
  11. I don't care. I mean yeah, I'd like for the movies I love to make more money, but that's not the point. For me, a SH movie must be dark and violent and the villain MUST be a solid, threatening character. That's what I find fun in a CBM.
  12. I saw no thread for this and I though it would be a good idea. 'Tales from the Cryptkeeper' (the animated series) is my childhood in a nutshell. This show is the reason why I love horror movies so much, because for a 7-8 year old me, these cartoons were pure terror. Only later I found out there was a TV show first and watched it. So you can discuss both here.
  13. No. I'm very serious I think you misread my first post. I was saying that there is no way it only makes 110M off a 55M OW. I see it finishing around 125M.
  14. It's very possible. And with that OW 120M+ total is locked.
  15. Knowing is one of the best SF movies ever made imo. It's just electric, keeps you glued to the screen.
  16. What did you proved me wrong? Amazon argument - fail, NYT not being the biggest - fail. comparison with Gone Girl - fail, trailer and sales not meaning interest - fail. You just refuse to accept it and that's fine. I'm done talking to you about this. See you Feb. 2015. Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_York_Times_Best_Seller_list
  17. Yeah, YOU. Amazon is just one of the many sellers NYT counts. USA Today has less accurate reports because they count less book sellers. I was talking about 100M because you talked about it above, even if not directly to me. And you are just biased if you don't see how huge this brand is.
  18. What are you talking about? Look at the list: Gone Girl was in that top for 16 weeks and it's higher because the film is a few weeks away. 50 Shades was in the top for 119 weeks. Also, Gone Girl sold around 5M copies, compared to 70M for Shades. And why are you giving me links to Amazon and USA Today? NYT Best Seller List is easily the most recognizable authority when talking book sales. It compiles most US book sellers and it is quoted absolutely everywhere. And I said nothing about an 100M OW. I was talking over 60.
