Part of me blames the misleading marketing, but even if it had been marketed truthfully it probably wouldn't have fared much better. I guess people just aren't interested in 19th century romantic haunted house stories.
You have redeemed your awful list with that #1 choice. Easily one of the best films of the year. Shame it has been overlooked in some circles, and struggled to find an audience.
There's too much comedy competition with each other, Dad's Army is just gonna stomp over everything. Deadpool will do OK. And there's the release of Dirty Grandpa and Ride Along 2 at the end of January. PPZ and Goosebumps are surefire bombs
Grimsby will kill off everything's legs. That 4 week period between end of Jan and end of Feb is just bonkers. 8 comedies competing with each other.
Don't agree with some of these choices, but every segment is really well written, and you've chosen some very smart films. And it's concise. Bravo, Gopher great list.
And it's here. For anyone (everyone) interested, there will be an awards game for the worst movies of 2015:

Good Dinosaur was rad.
Anyway... it'll be worth it. If Pixar ever makes another movie as good as Inside Out, it'll have been worth the wait. I would endure a thousand Cars 2 movies if it meant another Inside Out.
lots of cinemas close early. NYE not a very popular day to go to the cinema here in the UK. Can't talk for other countries but this is the biggest OS market.
This looked pretty crap like all those other Will Ferrell movies, but I just saw it in a sold-out screening and it was actually great. One of the biggest surprises of the year.
