    So in the middle of the movie; It was the real Robert that was with his dad during the marketing commercial for the parade? Does he hate his dad and knows his dad is plotting something? Confused at that part.

    I thought How to train your dragon is Dreamwork’s best Kung Fu Panda is a close second. Shrek series was enjoyable; especially the 2nd one. And I really liked the reference from I Am Legend where Will Smith knows all the lines from Shrek.

    Yes exactly, that’s what I thought. There were a few twists here and there but Mewtwo not being a villain isn’t one of them. Mewtwo has always been on the good side since the end of the first film.

    The movie was good; will play well with audiences. A lot of effort went into the twists; and loved that Detective Pikachu was the dad for most of the movie, hence the Ryan Reynolds voice. I was skeptical about his voice but that ending killed all my skepticism

    Mewtwo has never been the bad guy in any movies as far as I know. Even in the first pokemon movie, he turned good. that was’t really a twist for me. Kinda expected mewtwo to be good and humans to be evil, lol

    Saw Detective Pikachu, think it will play well to families and crowd. Not a bad movie at all; felt that a lot of effort went into the script and direction.

    Hahaha. So that's what they are calling objective people who genuinely dislike the trailer now? LOL. Anyway, i will be buying opening weekend tickets for WB's detective pikachu; but will probably be giving this Sonic a miss..trailer looks worse than Aladdin's first teaser.

    Anyway, the scene in the warehouse looks almost identical to the Detective Pikachu trailer scene. Lol. One of the worst trailers I have seen for a big budget movie. Huge fan of Jim Carrey, but that scene with the army major looks really awkward... Director trying too hard to make it funny.

    They did the same for tmnt, replacing the Stars with Shuriken.

    In many overseas territories, once it loses screens, its never getting them back. Tough to recover

    Hope it wakes WB up. The release date killed Shazam.

    While the film will likely break even and bag a small profit, I genuinely hope WB reconsiders release dates going forward. a movie with so much potential, sandwiched by two super-hyped films of the same genre.

    Not bad for a horror flick.

    Ip Man (2008) with Donnie Yen - if you are into action films. Solid film with great storyline and acting, not only did well in China but pretty much threw Donnie Yen into superstardom in whole of Asia.

    Shazam might be overstated here. if it is a really above 6m, it will really be an incredible jump!

    Hope so. International markets are not like North America, screens get lost fast by local films. But to be fair, i know Shazam had a lot of sneak previews in many markets before its opening weekend last week, and all the numbers were added to its weekend total last week which inflated the opening international weekend.
