    Bumblebee had its sneaks in Malaysia and Singapore, audience WoM is medicore at best. Only 2 fight scenes (at the start and end), and its a romance movie between BB and the female lead, with limited screentime for John Cena. Its not gonna fly. The key here is really the nostalgc factor.

    Agreed. I do not think it will do well in China at all. I watched it and it was meh, not as good as the first and really too predictable. And local Chinese action movies are way better, not sure whether Chinese audiences even like a boxing drama like this one.

    After 1 week of seeing it overpeform in China, i finally watched it today in IMAX 3D! Just came out of the theater, really cannot imagine people not watching this in IMAX. A visual masterpiece with good storyline, wow! And I really can imagine why China loves it - very similar to a local folktale. Anyway, I can finally enter the spoiler thread. Haha

    Not sure whether "removed" is the word. I think RT site accidentally lifted the embargo early. So they have now hidden that review.. pretty sure it will show up later once the embargo is truly lifted.

    Couldn't find any reviews on RT. Either way I got 4 IMAX 3D tickets for Thurs night (opening night in Singapore), and will watch in 2D on Friday night with another group of friends. Instead of worrying about the box office, I will do my part to contribute to it. Cheers!

    Tonight was not that good as well, below Maoyan’s daily estimate of 79m. Currently at 71m, and not much gas left for the night. Maoyan has revised down estimates again. Let’s hope the weather gets better and it gets a strong 2nd weekend...
