  1. Will the dubbing be released like later? Such as this weekend? Or is JL dubbed version completely off the table in India?
  2. Some of the posts here are really unneccessary. I am a big fan of Marvel and DC, and i truly believe that competition breeds excellence. The Market Place is big enough for DC movies by WB, and Marvel movies by Disney/Fox/Sony. The numbers for Justice League is pathetic, no excuses...WB screwed up big time. But what some people are posting here are uncalled for. Sarcasm and pure mocking. I don't see the point, really.
  3. Thanks! But i think they had Good Friday - the Holiday the day after BvS premiered, which boosts the numbers.
  4. Thanks thanks. DCEU is big in most parts of Asia. It is doing well here in Singapore too..all IMAX theaters are selling out.
  5. Word of mouth is definitely above average. And I think Wonder Woman made more Chinese like DCEU. Wong Jing's movie is 2nd...but wom is terrible, Donnie Yen just saved Wong Jing from his streak of bad movies..now WJ is back at it. If the WoM for JL doesn't drop, i don't see much threat for it for the next 2 weekends in China.
  6. Hi Olive, can I ask how does it compare to Thor and BvS? In Taiwan?
  7. Haha I am saying his last 2 films - the crossing - part 1 & 2 flopped and I dun think manhunt will do well.
  8. You do know the box office results of John Woo's last 2 films right. Haha.
  9. Brazil always the best. Wonder Woman numbers were great, now JL is doing well. Finally some good news, thanks to Brazil.
  10. Reviews are okay. 9 on Maoyan, definitely will go down IMO. But i see it hovering around at least 8.2 - 8.5
  11. Jack Ma's movie - Gong Shou Dao(GSD) with Jet Li, Donnie Yen and Wu Jing has been released. It's a 20mins short film. Jet Li also shared it on his FB page. Most audiences are saying that, among the Martial Arts actors, Donnie Yen stole the show and his fight scene was the highlight. While Jet Li proves that he can still move and has his form.
  12. Never Say Die is easily the champion of National Day Holidays release, Chasing the Dragon is 2nd. City of Rock is doing well due to word of mouth but impossible to get 3rd.
  13. You are sure NSD did not fudge at all? the extend of fudging by The Foreigner is just crazy, along with Sky Hunter.
  14. Chasing the Dragon officially crossed 500million yuan, one of the best word of mouth Hong Kong movies in recent years. Big step for China to appreciate such a tradition Hong Kong triad film. In other news... The Foreigner fudged till 500m too. Chasing the Dragon will overtake it by Mon or Tues (unless foreigner continues to fudge big time)
  15. Really Chasing the "Dragon". Haha. By Mon/Tues hopefully the gap can be closed.
  16. I think Chasing the Dragon will end up 2nd of the National Day release for overall box office. City of Rock's daily numbers are good... This Friday showtimes will determine a lot.
  17. Where do i report on The Foreigner's numbers? Freaking fake numbers, juiced to the gills. Cannot believe Jackie went to this level. Very disappointed.
  18. Then how come you never mentioned Donnie Yen? He is in Chasing the Dragon.
  19. Freaking Jackie Chan and Fan Bing Bing fudging like crazy. not saying other films are not fudging but these 2 are just... absurd.
  20. Not sure why is Never Say Die doing so well.. comedy is easier on the whole family maybe. But if Chasing the Dragon hits 500m, a big IF. Well I think will make the 3 of them very happy. This film is almost literally a full HK film base on genre, it's not a HK gangster fighting film like SPL, just a pure gangster triad film. Plus the film barely confirmed its release date 1 month ago, with almost no time to market, squeezing into a very crowded place (before 2 films shifted dates). Donnie Yen having a non action movie that gross 500m yuan, Wong Jing with a film rated 9 on Maoyan and above 7 at Dou ban and Lau having a film over 400m yuan... I think they will all be smiling.
  21. I don't agree though. Donnie Yen/Andy Lau's movie has incredible word of mouth but is restricted by the showtimes.... Wanda and the big boys give it bad timings and small theaters. I think with more showtimes it can gross 5yi. Its marketing barely started 3 weeks back and it had literally 0 hype.
