  1. I recently watched Alien....and boy...does it suck...when i was a kid i found it scary, but now i find it plain laughable. Except the chestburster scene and sigourney's acting, everything is lame.
  2. The Guest, from the same team, is a much more terifying and thrilling movie than this movie. Now we know why this got a title change. They knew they had a subpar product on hand and original horror films sometimes struggle to do well unless they get good to excellent reviews. They slapped the title of Blair Witch as it was kinda similar to that, did some reshoots and boom in the hopes that the brand name will help it become a profitable venure.
  3. To top it all off, collider nightmares is slowly turning into a horror movie /tv show propaganda machine. The host and others on the panel of the show personally know many young indie/horror filmmakers, so they keep hyping those directors and their horror flicks even if they are subpar. But I like their discussions and once in a while someone on that show suggests a genuinely good horror movie. I hope they cut down on overhyping directors they know and their films.
  4. I like Shailene more than Jennifer because there is a hint of innocence in her..Jennifer..has lost my respect after the whole xmen nonsense.
  5. Every early december a cheap horror movie is dumped that bombs badly. This fits that bill.
  6. I told you all that this is going to be an amazing film back when i posted the trailer and hardly anyone responded because everyone was busy sucking the beard's similar looking movie that released in the summer. That was a steaming pile of shit and I could smell it when I saw that trailer.
  7. Toby Kebbell is in this. Glad he is getting live action roles after so many debacles. He is best when used as a supporting actor and great as lead motion captures role. Boxoffice though....let's see how this fares. I have faith that today's audience has matured taste and intelligent enough to support such movies.
  8. This ain't a horror movie. This will be an action movie with elements of science thrown in with some corny/funny one liners to appeal to folks who like movies like Jurassic World.
  9. If they were confident in this they would have scheduled it for a screening at one of the upcoming festivals. Zilch.
  10. WOW....that was baaaaaaaad. The new Resident Evil trailer looks wayyyyy better. And this is coming from someone who likes Underworld movie franchise more than RE movie franchise. This one was directed by a woman. Sadly she will get all the blame for the shit CGI and action.
  11. Sing will be another major money maker for illumination. 600+ worldwide won't shock me.
  12. Yes, but he honed his craftsmanship in Canada by working on bunch of small films and shorts before coming to hollywood. And here too he started out by making small intense dramas/thrillers. Arrival is his first sci-fi film and that too an indie one. Blade Runner 2 is his first big budget tentpole. This is how you are supposed to do it. You shouldn't jump from 10 million to 80 or 100 million without honing skills. When studios hire such directors results are almost always meh and sometimes disastrous. First hone skills through each film and then after 3-4 solid films you should do a big budget movie. This should be the mantra for all young filmmakers and studios should also fully support this. However, none of this applies to James Cameron. Lol.
  13. This winter is just awesome... Hacksaw ridge Arrival La la land Monster calls All are getting rave reviews. November is going to be a bloody great month for movies. Every week there is something amazing to look forward to.
  14. The real question is whether Ridley will sever his relation with fox after how they treated his son's film? Will he prefer to working with other studios after Prometheus 2 & 3 assuming the next one is any good and does well for a 3rd one.
  15. Fox...hahahahahaha Here is a free advice, move Ass Creed to MLK or President's Day weekend otherwise it will get slaughtered in December.
  16. Morgan brings nothing new as far as storytelling goes and kate mara as usual is very one note, but some of the action scenes are really well shot with tension and dread. Maybe Luke Scott should direct a full on action film next time. I think his directorial style is more like his uncle Tony Scott.
