  1. I kinda resent the fact that pretty much every scene Russell cut from the movie focuses on Renner, whom I love.
  2. Am I the only one who thinks J Law looks much older than she is? People always say Hollywood miscasts her because she's too young, but...she looks like she could be 30.
  3. Maze Runner was surprisingly good. Like, leagues better than crap like Twilight or Divergent. It's second only to THG as far as YA movies go.
  4. What I'm hearing. Scott Cooper seems to be carving out a distinct "good but not great" niche for himself.
  5. Loved Silver Linings and The Fighter, thought Hustle was good but overrated. Looking forward to this though.
  6. Blade Runner 2 initially sounded like Hollywood's lack of originality run amok, but Villenueve, Deakins, Gosling, plus Ford returning? I'm in.
  7. I gotta say, Stan's comeback is pretty funny. http://collider.com/captain-america-3-sebastian-stan-zack-snyder-comments/
  8. The material just seems tired. Cold War espionage? Do we care anymore? Yes, tensions are mounting with Russia again, but not to the point where the Red Scare is relevant again.
  9. I feel like Black Mass would've needed more rave reviews for something like $50mil plus to happen. Movies like it benefit from a really really high RT score.
  10. It'd be nice if Hollywood made more movies targeting African-American auds. They're so starved they see crap like The Perfect Guy, which sends a message to Hollywood to keep making crap for them once or twice a year.
  11. Did you see Sixth Sense when it first came out or a while later? Cause I find it hard to believe you saw the twist coming if you saw it in theaters. The moviegoing climate was a lot different in 1999 and nobody expected twists like that in horror films.
  12. From what I've read the film is honest about Jobs' behavior/personality, but I haven't read anything about it being honest about Apple's business practices.
  13. There are so many interesting/good-looking "Oscar movies" this year. It's unfortunate half of them are crammed into December.
  14. Agreed, at least lately. Memorial Day & July 4th weekends have gotten smaller. Then again, President's Day and Valentine's have gotten bigger.
  15. Black Mass Everest Sicario Suffragette The Martian Steve Jobs The Walk Crimson Peak The Witch Dude...what are you even doing here if none of those interest you?
  16. 21 Grams was great for its time, and Babel was okay. Birdman was the first Inarritu film to really bowl me over. This looks to continue that trend.
  17. Hooper's problem is every film of his seems to be begging for Oscars. King's Speech was pretty good, but received a lot of hate cause it didn't deserve Best Picture. Les Miserable was uneven as fuck. This looks good enough.
