I got it during DP2 and the packed theater was really into it. Of course, OS market, horror is up there with action and animation so not a big surprise.

I saw it last night in a party of 15, at least 12 casuals, and I'm pretty sure word of mouth will be amazing.

Also, there's a multiverse. And the concept of another universe spilling into yours as fiction is not new. DC used it with Earth 1 and Earth 2 decades ago.

Idk, I get the feeling that this film revitalized interest on the brand among the GA, and unlike the post-Avengers films, AMATW is just two months away so they'll benefit more from the bump. Specially if they closely tie to IW somehow.

Well, yes. In an ideal world a teacher would earn 20 times what an entertainer does, but in this one I don't see why they'd have to give up money if they can take it. Why are they taken to task as if fixing inequality was their job?

The MCU would not even exist without him. It was his performance what made IM the hit it was. I doubt those reports are true, but if they were he deserves every penny. Probably top 3 most important casting in the history of Hollywood.

The internet is filled narraties, tho. For every Ehrlich there were three guys crying about ruined childhoods because the story didn't have familiar beats. And I also find annoying that kind of thinking that gives rules to art, because a film being good only comes to down to execution and what works for one might not work for other. It's not about the story. It's about how that story is told. (And IW told its in a very smart way, btw)
