  1. I hear you, I found this forum when I was searching the best (fastest) way to follow SW VII box office success. After that I kind of got addicted. As a result my interest for movies is starting again, after 10+years. I think I've seen more movies in cinemas this year than in last ten years combined (and I've seen only SW, DP and TJB this year [emoji4], going to see CA3 next week). Sorry for the off-topic message. I am certain that ZOO will make it to 1B WW.
  2. You must really hate Return of the Jedi...[emoji39]
  3. Baloo was the worst part of the movie. Only reason for it was to just show that Mowgli is capable of making "tools", ultimately serving the end of the movie with last fight and the elephants. Have to say, I really enjoyed how they presented the elephants (compared to the 1967 version). My daughter found Kaa to be the best part of the movie. Very hypnotizing, ScarJo was amazing. Even if it was a bit disconnected from the other parts, it did give very good explanation to why Shere Khan hates Mowgli. And it introduced the red flower and how animals feel about it. Nice little educational aspect considering the child-audienece And served the story really well. In my opinion everything after the King Louie episode was awesome and very intense. Great movie with great ending.
  4. According to wikipedia number one at the precise date was "Julia", but SW was the number one of the year. Edit: talking about my birthday, not Celedhring's.
  5. With Disney putting lot of effort to have financial success in chinese markets (park&stores in Shanghai, chinese actors in Rogue One), making "live-Mulan" would fit their strategy perfectly. Imo it MUST happen before 2020.
  6. I hope not. Rovio has put lots of money and effort to this. If it gets hammered, might be the beginning of the end for the whole company. [emoji53]
  7. So The Jungle Book had better OW than ZOO. That sounds promising [emoji4] Edit: or is $3.44million in Australian currency?
  8. I think that Chocolate Factory gets a mention because it has been also (succesfully) filmed fairly recently. I liked the trailer, got a bit nostalgic feeling for some reason.
  9. Thanks. Can you estimate how large portion of the yearly box office gross comes from Hollywood movies? And if the Indian yearly box office is increasing/decreasing?

  11. Over $650 mil OS. I feel the story is not culturally related, hence it will fill theaters in every continent. Lähetetty minun SM-G800F laitteesta Tapatalkilla
  12. How much in USD a good movie makes in India "boxofficewise"? $100 million? Do you believe that The Jungle Book will have a good, better than average Hollywood movie, run there?
  13. This looks beautiful. In my opinion (as a general audience member) this should do at least what Oz: The Great and Powerful and Charlie and the Chocolate factory did ($500 WW). I do hope it will do much better. Not sure what you consider a bomb. How much buzz did The Jungle Book had two months prior opening? Or Zootopia? As for Depp I think he is in downturn, althou in my opinion PotC (the first one) is one of the most entertaining movies ever.
  14. According to BOM The Good Dinosaur has made 321 M WW. I noticed from other topics, that Disney decided to give Zootopia the China release date instead of TGD. Can anyone make a sophisticed guess that how much TGD could have made in China? I have read that Pixar has fairly bad track reconrd in China, and TGD's RT are not very good (animationwise), so maybe 50 million USD?
