  1. I won't mind Dory falling like 15% if that means The BFG is breaking out.
  2. That's big. They're really banking on this to be a tentpole franchise didn't they? I hope it does become a successful tentpole franchise though.
  3. I hope they give this a decent production budget since the last thing I need is the TV shows' cheap ass budgets to be carried to the movie.
  4. Spirited Away hold a special place in my heart forever, but Mononoke, Kaguya, and Grave of the Fireflies is very very amazing. The only Ghibli movie that I found to be less than stellar is only Pom Poko, but I won't call it a bad movie either.
  5. They might as well name it Suicide Squad just to fuck with WB
  6. I just realized that Disney can even throw in a Frozen themed toy into Toy Story 4 because why the hell not. Even if TS4 beat Frozen, Disney is the winner anyway.
  7. This movie is amazing. Gripping and intense, not to mentiona Lively is giving a great performance. Plus, Steven Seagull for 2017 Oscar's Best Supporting Actor.
  8. Happy only started getting airplay in Winter/Spring 2014 while DM2 came out in Summer 2013. That's half a year gap there.
  9. I think it's all in delivery. Pixar is getting those praises because they take those themes and make it quite easily digestably. Plus, they put those themes in front. With horror movies, Twilight and whatnot, it's very very easy to overlook those themes. Especially with horror movies. I swear there's a deep moral story somewhere in Conjuring 2, but I'm too scared shitless to notice it the first time.
  10. I'm going to watch this tomorrow... and then a trip to the beach the next day. In a pretty remote beach too. Oops.
  11. A+ 1. Spirited Away (This one holds a special place in my heart, no matter what) 2. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets The rest is whatever
  12. As much as I love Zootopia and Dory, I want The Red Turtle to win because that one's fantastic.
  13. With how it's performing in the US, Dory only need to perform just around Inside Out OS to get to $1billion
  14. I think that's biologically impossible....
  15. Same. The first movie's run that I pay attention to was Deathly Hallows 2. That opening day number is glorious.
  16. Cars 3.... yup, I definitely will skip that one.
  17. I really love this movie. The disability theme is used really well, and I honestly felt any positive impact that this movie may give to anyone that ever felt like Dory will be enough to justify it's entire existence. Hank and his overall done-ness with the world is amazing, and I certainly won't blame Pixar or Stanton if they ever decided to make a sequal/spin-off focused on him. Plus, I will totally watch that. The climax is great, despite being humor driven instead of emotion driven like Pixar's strongest efforts, and seriously, that part with the falling truck is one of the most hilarous thing that Pixar have ever done.
  18. Not to mention it's literally Titanic-like run in Japan. That one's legendary.
  19. Frozen earned $400m DOM, and Dory is looking to beat Shrek 2's record ($440m-ish). Unless you're talking about WW...
  20. Great for Dory! A TS3-ish drop will bring Dory to a 75m 2nd weekend, no?
  21. The only way an Inside Out sequel will work is if they release themselves from the PG inhibition and go wild.
