  1. Where did you get it? I'm looking high and low for Indonesian Box Office numbers but I nevet seemed to be able to find it...
  2. I think Moana's weak OS performance might have something to do with how it's not exactly appealing to a certain region. Example: Tangled obviously appeals more to Europe countries, as it's setting is very European and Rapunzel came from European fairy tale, hence it's strong Europe numbers but weak Asian number and average Latin numbers. Big Hero 6 appeals more to Asian countries, obviously, with $160 milion from Japan+China alone, but is kind of weaker in Europe and Latin. Frozen performed strongly in Europe, better than BH6 and Tangled in Latin, and went nuts in Japan and Korea. Is an outlier, not the rule. Zootopia is strong across the board, because talking animals is universal language. What can Moana appeal to culturally? I mean, Pacific islands probably count as untracked territories. We know that Moana sells out theatres in Hawaii, so that's good I guess. Maybe New Zealand and Australia will have good reactions to it. $400 million OS seemed like a good if not slightly optimistic target for Moana.
  3. I'm cautiously excited for this. I'm rooting for J-Law and Pratt, but so far nothing have really caught my attention. Will definitely watch this in the opening day in my country though.
  4. Woohoo! Amazing for FB. I hope since it will finish with around $230+ million DOM and $700 million+ WW, we will still get 4 more FB films as promised Also, fingers crossed Moana drops better than Frozen ($26,6 million~)
  5. Watched this yesterday after Moana. It's... uh.... yeah, cool stuff here and there, and the rest is just plain terrible.
  6. Ok, I might be a teeny bit biased because I just love Anime films, and Shinkai's previous works are all amazing to me. Also, this is a romance film taken into a greater scale, kind of like Titanic, something I'm a sucker for.... So yeah, long story short, this is an A+ film for me. At any year, this would have been the #1 animated film for me, but for now, it have to settle for #2 of the year because Zootopia exists.
  7. Completely anecdotal, like with Blankment's, but all of my friends that I told about this film seemed to react by bursting out laughing. I think no one really take this film seriously...
  8. Everyone is doing a list, so why not? 1. Zootopia 2. Kubo and the Two Strings 3. Hacksaw Ridge 4. Your Name. 5. Doctor Strange 6. The Jungle Book 7. The Edge of Seventeen 8. Finding Dory 9. Captain America: Civil War 10. Deadpool Honorable Mentions: Central Intelligence, Suicide Squad, Fantastic Beasts, Sing Street, and Kung Fu Panda 3. Haven't watched Moana or Arrival, but both will probably join in once I watched them. I'm confident that Rogue One will join in too, and possibly Sing.
  9. Not sure if I've posted my prediction or not, but here's the top 10: 1. Star Wars Episode VIII $720 million 2. Beauty and the Beast $450 million 3/4. GOTG 2/JL $400 million 5. Spidey $350 million 6. Lego Batman $340 million 7. Despicable Me 3 $330 million 8. Wonder Woman $310 million 9. Thor: Ragnarok $270 million 10. Coco/Fast 8 $250 million (Really not sure) Honorable mentions: I believe these films will cross $200 million. Transformers 5, War of the Planet of the Apes, Logan, Cars 3, and Dunkirk. I want Valerian to cross $200 million, but $150 million will already be a miracle, so...
  10. You know what? If the first full trailer retain that feel that the teaser give, I'm sold. I'll retract all my statement about skipping Cars 3 and add it in my to-watch list of 2017.
  11. Wooh! Excited for this one. 2017 is shaping up to be a glorious year for films for me, especially since I love Bayformers film (Yes, even the second one)
  12. I will cry happy tears if Valerian can even sneak into the top 10 for Summer 2017.
  13. Really really excited for this! Also, nice to see another Indonesian Valerian fan.
  14. If this opens with at least $100 million, I'm opening the Doctor Strange over The Winter Soldier DOM club
  15. Kinda interested in this but I still think going up against Rogue One and Passengers is basically suicide for this.
  16. Overperform: Valerian. I'm very convinced that this will be able to do better than Lucy and might even come close to the $200 million mark. Also, considering the general prediction for Justice League seemed to be $280-330m, I think it will be safe to say that predicting a $400m+ finish for it is unpopular. Underperform: Rogue One. $500m+ is crazy. Over Civil War but under Dory is where I see it at. And of course, with me thinking JL can get to $400m, that means Thor will suffer and might end just a little bit over $200m.
  17. I want this to make a huge breakout. Like, $700m+ ww breakout. It's impossible, I know, but a guy can dream.
  18. From the trailer, it's pretty obvious they're aiming for the teen demographics which might hurt this because Beauty and the Beast, while a family film, still have a huge attraction to teens. Btw, still kinda excited for this. I'm one of the very few people who think 2015 FF isn't a total disaster, so I guess I'm okay with the vibe.
  19. Disney is saving up all those live-action money so they can go all out with Beauty and the Beast
  20. Good for Illumination. They can get away with kinda subpar material with that kind of fantastic marketing. Heck, they probably would have been able to turn The Good Dinosaur into a $300m+ DOM grosser.
  21. This is gonna breakout big time. $180m DOM minimum.
  22. I've never seen Frozen in full even though I own the Soundtrack
