This is scary and terrifying from start to finish. The scares are scary as fuck, and I swear even the smallest noise freaked me out. 10/10 would never watch again because it's really bad for my heart.
The main child actor is really good. If she could deliver those kind of performance consistently, she could make a good horror films actor.
What do you guys think the ceiling for Deadpool is? I want it to get the 35 million it needs to cross $800m, but from other CBM's performance in Japan it seems unlikely :/
The talks about SW7 and Disney in an Avatar thread reminded me that Disney almost got ahold of Avatar if it's not for Fox deciding to hold onto it.
Seriously, imagining the world where one studio held both Avatar and Star Wars as theirs kinda terrifies me.
Since Deadpool 2 haven't got a release date, my top 5 prediction:
1. Episode VIII - 750m
2. GOTG Vol 2 - 380m
3. Spiderman: Homecoming - 330m
4. Justice League Part 1 - 320m
5. Beauty and the Beast - 310m
#1 in my country, but not as big as in other countries due to very tough competition from a local romance blockbuster (Like, superhero movies type blockbuster) that kinda split the audience. Males go to CW while the females see the other film.
I hope BvS can actually at least get a 2x multiplier by the end of it's run.
I don't really care for the movie itself (I think it's decent, if slightly dragged. Dark tones is okay, but does it really have to be somber?) but I'm really pumped for the solo movies.
This took a 70% nosedive in it's third week in my country. Yikes. A barrage of hit local films does cause it to fall that hard tho, so there's that.
Heading for a 850m+ worldwide total is pretty decent, I think. Not a total disaster, just... kinda there. Pumped for SS and WW tho.
