  1. Can't wait to watch the other Hellboy movies when this one comes out.
  2. Says in the article that she is currently completing her college degree, so it could be a voluntary hiatus.
  3. Shoot, guess you're right. No wonder it's not on the charts.
  4. Has any other franchise been such a trendsetter in the title department? Another excellent addition to an already strong collection of titles.
  5. Good piece on They Shall Not Grow Old for any interested. Wonder if it'll increase today.
  6. ICE. FLOE. NOWHERE TO GO. LOST IN THE BLINDING WHITENESS OF THE TUNDRAAAA Still got that song stuck in my head all these years on.
  7. NYC is recreated all over the place. They do it in Vancouver, Seattle, Atlanta, Australia; everywhere. The filming goes where the tax credits take them. In a lot of these cases it's cheaper to recreate NYC than to actually go and film stuff there. The same isolation that has the Avatar sequels and Mulan shooting in NZ? Not to forget The Meg, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, A Wrinkle In Time, Ghost in the Shell, Pete's Dragon and a whole bunch more. There's a pretty busy film industry down here. They Shall Not Grow Old. It's not eligible for Best Documentary.
  8. I'll echo the thoughts of pretty much everyone and say that I thought this was really great. Loved all the voice cast (especially Liev Schrieber) and the visual style was gorgeous. Honestly, I can't really think of anything wrong with it. Pine Peter's death was done really well I think; kinda relies on our collective connection with all the other Peter Parker's through pop culture but the newscasts and people's subsequent reactions to that really got to me. Effective stuff.

  10. I wanna say that's the sixth A+ CinemaScore this year? Black Panther I Can Only Imagine Love, Simon Incredibles II The Hate U Give and now Spider-Verse. Just had a looksy and that means that 2018 has matched 1989's record of six A+ CinemaScore's (Dead Poet's Society, Driving Miss Daisy, A Dry White Season, Lean on Me, Lethal Weapon 2 and When Harry Met Sally).
  11. How are Ad Astra's chances looking
  12. Leave No Trace and Game Night getting some good nods there. Very nice.
  13. Passable. Hugo and Lang were the most fun, the younger leads didn't leave too much of an impact.
  14. Thought it looked better, but I thought RPO was just plain ugly in general.
  15. For sure. Got a lot of interesting stuff going on. They sure do pack a lot of movie into this movie.
