I absolutely love this show! Bravo to all involved. The acting is leagues better than AoS and the 1940's setting is played to the max. I'll miss it when's it's over. Now we need a Howling Commandos mini-series to fill AoS's third season break.
It's been over a week since this movie expanded and some people are still weeping and gnashing their teeth at its box office performance. Could she have calmed down by now? I don't know. However, the post is still unnecessary as well as extremely offensive. And calming down is something a person should do before posting a diatribe like that, because it will give an opportunity to think twice and hopefully let the better judgement of restraint prevail.
Enough of my rant.
I am very happy that people are seeing AS and like what they see. 400m domestic here we come.
These things are cyclical. Eventually something else will come along that hits people's fancy and the MCU will no longer be the "it" thing. I have no doubt that the MCU will continue for the next 10-20 years, it just won't be on top of the heap the entire time.
Patriotism is as much a virtue as justice, and is as necessary for the support of societies as natural affection is for the support of families.
Benjamin Rush (aka some dead, white guy from the 1700s who was obviously a useless racist)
Don't know where you heard that. From all accounts I've seen and read, both direct and tertiary, he was a great guy. Flawed like all of us, but definitely not a racist. Although, the term racist has been so dumbed-down that in today's market the term could easily apply to just about every person of European descent with white skin.
I'm not following your train of thought. Unbroken is recounting a WWII vet's time as a POW in a Japanese camp. And the brutal treatment POWs received while at Japanese camps is well documented. Do you think movies like this should not be made, or maybe changed to such a degree that it's not even the same story?
