If Captain Marvel only did well cause of connections to Endgame it would have dropped like a rock post-OW when people realised it didn't really have any major connections to Endgame.
I don't think whether a film is a DC film or not has much bearing on the public's decision to watch a film or not. More got to do with the actual appeal of the film itself rather than the brand name.
Hmm would then they get Danny Elfman for the score then? I quite like the Giacchino Doctor Strange theme though so hopefully they don't ditch it (Elfman didn't ditch the Avengers theme for Ultron).
After Spider-Man 3 I really doubt Raimi would take this project unless he was going to to what he wanted. If he's happy with the parameters given to him then he is making the film he wants.
Shrek 2 is still one of the best sequels of all time IMO. That film was arguably the animated film I most rewatched back in the early 2000s and that's in the midst of the great Pixar films at the time. It's a shame that DreamWorks never really had the same type of success again despite other quality series like HTTYD and Kung-Fu Panda.
I definitely shed some tears over the series finale of The Good Place. Gonna miss the show so much. On the bright side I started watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
The whole franchise should get a bit more credit I reckon for how diverse the cast is and it kinda just happened naturally. Part of why these films are so popular.
I'll admit I wasn't too engaged with the first half of the movie (not that it's bad mind you) but it seemed like standard stuff I've seen before but yes the 2nd half of the film is what separates this film from others in its genre. A rewatch might help me appreciate the first half more now that I know more where the story went and what the film really is about.
