Cool guess it'll join with the bittersweet ending of Endgame and Toy Story 4. Must be a Disney mandated note. -
Sony is definitely on the upward swing. Good to see that they'll be a healthy mix of tentpole films and mid budget size fare.

I really doubt regardless if you agree or disagree with what ScarJo said will have any major impact on the box office of Black Widow.

Spidey's popularity comes from his daily hero acts in NYC not any of his Avengers exploits. Now yeah probably a couple of people could probably dig up that he has been involved with the Avengers but he's popular to the people cause he's their "friendly neighbourhood" hero.

Yeah I don't think having an Asian lead will make a massive box office impact in Asia (since it's Marvel it'll do well regardless). It will make an impact though in the DOM market and in western countries with a high Asian population such as Australia.

Yeah Marvel can afford to wait a bit til the next Avengers film seeing as the solo films are capable of $1 Billion now and are only going to get bigger.

Aladdin is probably the only one of these remakes that could get a sequel and not have it automatically decrease from the first.

I'd be curious what a potential Spider-Man 4 would have done had Sony decided to revive that series after TASM 2 underperformed instead of doing the Marvel deal.

The discrepancy between the increase FFH is having DOM and the increase it's having OS from Homecoming suggests if MCU fatigue sets in it'll be with DOM way before it affects OS. GOTG Vol 2 hitting $1 Billion was always gonna be tough but I did expect OS to at least hit $1 Billion. Ragnarok pretty easily beat Vol 2's OS gross.

6 Day Opening may have something to do with it. Then again this is the same person that insisted Homecoming underperformed even knowing it hadn't been released in China or Japan yet.

Still mind boggling it's the highest grossing solo superhero film OS but watching the spectacle you get why.

By far the best romance in any of the Spider-Man incarnations we've had so far. Miles and Gwen in Spider-Verse you could argue but it's more a friendship atm. Garfield and Stone had great chemistry but the writing of that romance was very sloppy at times especially in TASM 2. Peter and Mary Jane in the Raimi films got worse after each movie.

Is CM and FFH's massive OS results cause of proximity and relation to Infinity War/Endgame? Or is it because the MCU has now reached a new level of popularity OS. Probably a bit of both but if Black Widow does something crazy like $600M OS then maybe we're in for a new era of how solo MCU films do OS.

BOM adjusts BB to around $288M DOM which would be decent enough for the Batman reboot though I personally think it can hit around $350M IMO.

I though @Charlie Jatinder meant adjusted cause yeah anything around $200M would be very disappointing for a Batman reboot IMO. The situation certainly ain't that dire yet at least DOM.

Yeah Sony decided to scrap the Tom Holland version and is going to do TASM 3 instead. They prefer their Spidey films decreasing in box office.

Batman is in a better place currently than Spider-Man was post TASM 2. Though I think it might be a tougher sell to the GA for another reboot than it was for Homecoming since it had Iron Man and the MCU as a major hook. But yeah should do very well regardless.
