    Never been a fan of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. Even before WandaVision, she’s always come across as morally questionable, and I don’t think the narrative has done an adequate job of acknowledging that. Also, I never bought her and Vision.

    In other words, the people who were outraged about her getting “snubbed” were making a big fuss over absolutely nothing, and contrary to what they claim, Rowling will be just fine.

    I’m sure WB would want nothing more than to make a Harry Potter sequel, but I’m not quite sure how that’d work. That epilogue in Deathly Hallows complicates things a bit, unless they plan on having the OG cast look like that for an entire trilogy/pentalogy/whatever.

    My best guess is that it had something to do with the drama regarding Chloe Zhao and Eternals.

    I guess I’m predicting that DS2 wins the first half of the year.

    China wasn’t exactly a major market for movies back when Titanic originally came out. By the time it was re-released, many people in China were seeing it for the first time.

    The best thing about this thread is that it’s difficult to tell how genuine some of these predictions are.

    The more I think about it, what was the last film James Cameron made that people didn’t dismiss as a flop in the making.

    The movie was filmed before Scorsese made his “theme park rides” comment, so I would assume it is a coincidence, unless the glasses were added in post.

    For me, I’m conflicted. On one hand, I’m hopeful that this will prevent WB from milking the franchise in the near future, which I’m pretty sure the Wachowski’s are against anyway. On the other hand, I’m annoyed that the “red pill” dumbasses view this as some kind of victory.

    Aquaman 2 just finished filming a couple of weeks ago, while Avatar 2 has been in post production for over a year now. If WB is banking on Avatar 2 moving, they’re being overconfident.

    I’m a little embarrassed to have overestimated Eternals. I assumed it’d be Marvel’s second biggest hit of the year, but that didn’t happen. I didn’t love it, but I don’t entirely understand why, out of 26 MCU movies, that’s the one that has a low Tomatometer score. Anyway, looks like NWH’s second weekend drop isn’t as bad as it initially seemed. $700 million might still be in reach, but beating Avatar is probably out of the question.
