  1. Here are some facts about Amber Heard: In 2009, she was arrested at an airport for domestic violence against her girlfriend at the time. She illegally smuggled her dogs into Australia, and knowingly falsified paperwork There is audio of her admitting to abusing Johnny Depp Multiple other people have come forward and accused her of abusive behavior Everything about that woman is incredibly sketchy. I’m not going to take her side, just because she’s a woman. By all accounts, she’s a sociopath and a narcissist.
  2. I’m gonna be honest, I might just skip this one, seeing as how Amber Heard will likely still be in it.
  3. Fans seem to like it just fine, and I don’t see why it would be considered worse than any of the other Harry Potter films by the average viewer.
  4. It just occurred to me that the opening day numbers for DH2 surpassed the entire OW for the first Harry Potter movie. Not to diminish the obvious fact that the movie still made a lot of money, but that does put into perspective how front-loaded it was.
  5. That twist at the end gave off some serious South Park vibes. It’s also pretty surreal to think that Cohen actually managed to dupe Rudy Giuliani into such an embarrassing situation. Anyway, this is a solid sequel, but I don’t know if it’ll hold up as well as the first one. While the first one was clearly made in a post-War on Terror world, this film is so heavily tied to the 2020 election that I don’t know if I can see people revisiting it five years from now. Also, RIP Judith Dim Evans.
  6. I guess they could move it to June 4th, or they could try their luck with the date that Ghostbusters: Afterlife previously had.
  7. I don’t know why there’s a discussion here about Batman vs. Iron Man, but all film versions of Batman have demonstrated detective skills, and have been shown to be adept with technology.
  8. Speaking of Ahsoka, I realize it’s late to bring this up, but the more I think about it, doesn’t the idea that Ahsoka was alive during the OT kind of undermine the whole narrative about Luke (and Leia) being the last hope of the Jedi?
  9. This thing finished filming, hasn’t it? I don’t see why it wouldn’t be ready by 2022.
  10. Walter Hamada already said that this movie is set in an alternate continuity. Why would it be tied to that Flash movie that’s coming out after it?
  11. This movie seems like it was tailor made for October. Oh well. Also, I’m assuming the implication here is that Superman exists as a fictional character in this continuity.
  12. When I saw the notification, I assumed that Maguire and/or Garfield were confirmed to have signed on, or that at least some other bit of major news must’ve happened. You got me there! Now, how many people are going to think this is legitimate?
  13. I don’t know what the state of theaters will be by 2022, but I‘m certain that Cameron would not want it to go directly to streaming.
  14. Since the Electro news and the Dr. Strange news both happened on a Thursday, does that mean we should expect to hear about Tobey Maguire and/or Andrew Garfield signing on for this by next Thursday?
  15. The Spectacular Spider-Man is the best cartoon to be based on a Marvel property. It’s a shame that it was a casualty of Disney buying Marvel.
  16. If WB wants to keep HP around, they have no chance but to continue working with Rowling.
  17. If this gets pushed back again, June 11 would be a prime spot to put it.
  18. The problem a lot of people have is that they don’t like how reliant the MCU Spider-Man is on other Marvel heroes. Part of the reason Spider-Man became so popular to begin with was because he was a young hero who often had to do things on his own. Sure, he interacted with other Marvel heroes plenty of times, but he was generally on his own, and had to handle his problems by himself. He wasn’t even a proper Avenger for the longest time. In comparison, the MCU version of Peter Parker has had the support of Stark Industries and S.H.I.E.L.D. Generally speaking, he seems to have it pretty easy compared to the traditional depictions of the character. All things considered, he seems like a fairly well adjusted kid who has everything going for him. You even get the impression that Tony Stark is a more important figure in his life than Uncle Ben.
  19. Call me a skeptic, but I seriously doubt Holland is getting another six movies after this. How old would he even be by the end of that?
