But it is not common or even weird from a cast member to say Avatar 3 is better than Avatar 2 during marketing campaign of the 2nd movie.

But Sun number make thing look like it is American that boost the sales since MLK only observed in US.

Including Monday, Avatar 2 is $47m ahead of TGM at the same time but TGM' summer weekdays was too strong to overcome! I wish Avatar could have made over year-end holiday.

In IMAX format, Avatar probably dominates the top 2 position. That IMAX gross in China is so huge, they aren't far behind that of domestic but the total gross is only one-third of domestic.

After a whole meh week, A2 lose more than $10m of lead over TGM. Now the running total is about $40m ahead of TGM. If A2 can't cover this lose over the long weekend, I would say passing TGM is basically dead given that TGM had insane hold after this.

Any update on the IMAX gross? Should be passing $200m soon
