    WF legs gets this to 425M OS. Thinking that´s the floor. Legs should be better than that but Fast X is a concern.

    Watched this 3 times now, and def will be watching 1-2 more times. It´s by far the best Guardians movie imo, albeit I wasn´t the biggest fan of the first but it has grown on me. Vol 2 is great tho

    WF was dropping no matter what, the first one had everything perfectly lined up. But maybe the drop would have been lower with a movie with Chadwick that wasn´t nearly as somber as this one became due to the real life circumstances.

    I don´t think it is, but I´m not quite sure. Sat also looked way worse but improved with sales on Thursday and Friday. Wonder if the WOM wasn´t good if it would have dropped. Looking at Mario second week it had a big Sat jump.

    OS performance is amazing, this movie deserved an amazing domestic performance aswell.

    Tbf, if Vol 3 is doing around 50M or more albeit with strong WOM, I expect at least 100M from China here. WTS data is strong aswell but the reception to the last movie was garbage and it doesn´t sound like this one is any better. Will be interesting to see if OS falls even further. It needs to get way over F9 and I agree that looks unlikely.

    Many OS markets were released 1 month before day and date release. Increase is coming but 750M would be insane. It´s losing PFL´s after one week, and after that the schedule is packed. I´m thinking more like 600M

    Got the trailer today before my screening in Vol 3, didn´t get it on Wednesday. It looked good, sound was insane.

    This movie held up well on rewatch, think it has good rewatch value. Def one of the best from the MCU and in the genre in general.

    Wild. Like I thought this might gross just the same as Ant-Man 3. Insane how the holiday and WOM boosted this.

    Absolutely. This movie was coming off the worst MCU year ever in terms of reception, a year that had 2022 8 projects and then the disaster that was Ant-Man 3. It´s all on Disney/Marvel and not Gunn. He did his job and because of that this movie won´t bomb totally.

    It´s interesting because pre Ant-Man 3 the OS gross was the biggest problem for Marvel. While domestic didn´t reach full potential we still saw big grosses while OS just keep going down and down. Here it´s domestic that will be that disappointment while OS while actually be not that bad. Don´t underestimate how important this was to not lose the OS markets completely.
