  1. Got clever and used some free Vudu credits I got for activating my new TV and used some leftover PSN money for for a total of 3 season four episodes. Those damned lab notes! What will come of them!? This show is more addictive than actual meth, complete with withdrawals.
  2. Skylar was terrible, how she got so far in the competition is beyond me. Every episode I saw of her was just generic country vocals. Also, I agree with the voting system thing. A voting audience can't be trusted to make an informed decision. For one, these are the same people making shit like Bieber and Carly Ray Jepsen popular, they hardly are an authority on good music. When you're singing for America's vote, it is no longer a singing competition rather than a popularity contest. Decisions should be made by an informed group of people who have jobs implicating knowledge of the criteria. I thought The X-Factor had it best with the fans contibuting by determining who's on deck for elimination, but the judges making the actual decisions (up until the end, anyways...)
  3. Comments on what I saw:That had to be the worst proposal idea ever. "You know what'll be a romantic way to pop the question to her? You should do it on an episode of American Idol. And be sure to plug the jewelry store you got the ring from, too!" I sure hope that he already proposed and they decided to do that publicly afterwards, because if not, she should leave his ass.I noticed Jennifer Lopez's performance had some VERY noticeable autotune in it. Made me chuckle.
  4. Man, Nicole made the best moment in last season when she inadvertently sent that little girl home, who burst into tears in a moment of pure awesomeness. I have no interest in Demi Lovato and Brittney Spears (I didn't even know who Schrezingyierlersky was prior to the show). Not that it matters, I don't have any interest in these singing competitions personally, but my dad has lately fallen to this terrible watch-every-singing-competition-plus-Celebrity-Apprentice kick, and he'll no doubt be watching this every week with me around.

  6. For whatever reason Spider-man isn't an option, so Avengers beats out First Class and Begins.
  7. A lot of people complained about the "epic" feeling being absent or the trailer never getting going, but when the music picks up near the end after Batman's line and there's the shots of riots in the street, I got chills. I will say it ends sort of abruptly, though, without a money shot or line or anything to cap it off. Not that it hurts it, I just feel like some chilling shot is missing where the burning tumbler transitions into the title card out of nowhere, even something we've already seen like the rear shot of Bane from the teaser.
  8. Finding a song degrading to women because it refers to a girl as a bitch is fucking stupid. That's like saying a song where a guy is called a douchebag is sexist to men. Also, Christina is an absolute c*nt and I really hope the coaches are different next year. Not only to Tony, but it seems in every fuckin' judgement thing she has to compare the contestants to herself or interact with the fans. I always thought it would be cooler to bring in a new set of coaches each year, and now the ones they have have overstayed their welcomes.
  9. Meh, the only person I really enjoyed was Lindsey, I'm a big fan of her voice and style. That said, they'll all likely go on to make mediocrity written for them anyhow. I loved Dia Frampton last season, but her new material just isn't there. I honestly somebody who's a truly talented singer/songwriter is better off without these shows getting them into the homogenized pop market we have nowadays.
  10. It's just stuff that isn't neccesarily funny, but it paints a huge-ass grin on your face no matter what. There's no way to describe it, other than it makes you feel good.
  11. How anybody finds the ending to be dropping the ball baffles me. Everything after they go down the elevator is fucking gold. The shot of all the horror villains massacring everybody has stuck with me for days, and I can't help but smile every time it comes back.9/10
  12. I kind of had a feeling. It's gotten great reactions when I saw the trailers, including my 40+ year old dad and his friend as well as the kiddies. Everybody was laughing while I looked around in disgust. It's unfortunate, but yeah. That's how it goes.
  13. Thrilled that this thread is spoiler free. Just watched Seasons 1-3, now I have to wait until June for Season 4. :(I can't bring myself to dislike Walt. In Season 2, he lies to his wife a LOT, but she was being a nosy bitch. He can't tell her the truth, obviously. And through all the things he does, he's just so human, he's only doing what he thinks is right. And then Jesse, he fluctuates between realizing his full potential and letting the junkie in him out, which is a great dynamic because he's a character you really want to root for.And how about Season 3? "One Minute", "Fly", "Half Measure", "Full Measure", so much phenomenal fucking television. And it kind of sucks, because it ruins my perception of other great television, like the last show I went through on Netflix, Rescue Me. They aren't really comparable as one's a dark drama/thriller, and the other one a Denis Leary dramedy, but it's impossible to look at that €s truly great when you've been watching Breaking Bad. It will undoubtedly be one day looked back at as one of if not the best shows ever. It's going to be a long 2 months.
  14. That "something" was the one and only Wrestlemania XXVIII, but I highly doubt a 65 dollar wrestling PPV impacted The Hunger Games's Sunday performance.
  15. I'm not familiar with THG, but this is what I do as well. The movie is where I get the suspense and excitement, the book is where I get the detail and substance.
  16. Yeah, I get that it's an established way of doing things, it's just not something I can get into.
  17. Not really. If you're going to a midnight screening, you're going to the earliest possible showing opening day, not late night Thursday previews or something like that. I mean, I guess I get the reasoning behind separating them, but I don't really agree with it. I think anybody who sees a movie at midnight would have seen the movie that later on opening day, and the difference between midnight and actual night isn't big enough to warrant separation.
  18. Well, because they're a part of the Friday gross and removing them kind of sugar coats the Friday-to-Saturday as being better than it actually is. What is the reason for separating the two?
  19. He said runs, not openings. Also, it's silly that anyone gets bent out of shape because of a stranger's opinion of box office. That's my angle here.
  20. No, but I'm not very fond of the touch keyboard prevalence today in mobile phones in general. Any time I have to use someone else's phone to type something, I seize up and start foaming at the mouth before collapsing on the ground, totally unresponsive to any outside stimuli. I then awaken from a coma months later in the hospital at the last second before the plug is pulled.Okay, that was slightly exaggerated, but it's really inconvenient.
  21. Using my Droid 3's LEGENDARY keyboard, featuring lit, spacious keys, perfect texture and placement, and a full number key row. No touch keyboard could ever touch this shit.
