  1. Cowboys and Aliens - too many to listPeter Parker's stupid as all shit dance sequence.Attack of the Clones - Portman and Christensen dialogue "You're breaking my heart!"Talia's death in TDKR - I love this movie to pieces, but I fuckin cringe.
  2. I was always on your side of that thread the whole time. But I guess I was referring to other things throughout my time here and at BOM.
  3. Thanks baumer. Getting respect from a poster like you is always cool. I feel the same.. your opinions may often differ from mine a great deal, but you always back them up with your reasoning and logic. In fact, you often get me to change my opinion through your posts.
  4. That is one of the Ghibli films I have not seen unfortunately.
  5. No film was better than TDKR in 2012. Movie of the year for me. That's my opinion and I could care less how ridiculous that may seem to others. I respect baumer's list 100%, but respectfully disagree. I did find the article funny and entertaining even though it was all sorts of wrong.

AladinThe following had to be left off due to technicalities which I felt deserve a place in my top 25. Worth mentioning:My Neighbor Totoro (Would have been somewhere in 10-15 slot)Whisper of the Heart (Would have placed anywhere in the 20-25 slot)Kik’s Delivery Service (Would have been Top 10)
  7. Can someone post a list of the Ghibli movies that do qualify for this list? Ponyo, Spirited Away, Arriety... what else?
  8. I know. It makes it even more exciting! Knowing that they are reading, but are remaining silent makes it all more tense. Let's see how it unfolds. Will they strike you all down like a lightning ROD!? Or will they let you all LIMP away?See what I did there?
  9. I'm giddy with anticipation whenever a mod comes in here. I wanna see who's head rolls and who shamefully inches by safely.
  10. The Hobbit's performance, along with TDKR's, really puts Avengers monster performance into perspective. Seriously.
  11. Nah, I like this place just fine. The makeup of this place makes it fun. It's "just right". You've got your occasional troll, but it's still a pretty tame place by Internet standards. I think if mods start cracking down even more, this place will be crickets and balls of hay. Careful what you wish for.
  12. Like that Skyfall jump! Nice for BD2. On course for a stellar Twilight run... again. Funny how a couple days ago, people were going batshit crazy about this bombing
  13. But I'm pretty sure most folks here are more impressed with Titanic's run. Not saying that's the sole reason for the Titanic's love around here.
  14. I think because this is a box office site, we subconciously, are drawn to the film because its once in a lifetime run and let it sway us just a tad without knowing it. Still an awesome movie either way.
  15. This is pretty much exactly how I feel with one exception. The villains. I would bring it down to an 8 because Bane went from being the ultimate badass and then downgraded to a side note. Other than that, in my opinion, your assessment was spot on.
  16. Action as the sets, visuals and chaos on screen jump out in IMAX.Horror because when you're with a bunch of others who are just as excited to get the crap scared out of themselves, it's so intimate.Drama because I love seeing something like Argo unfold on screen while tension builds and the audience collectively leans forward for the ending.
  17. God damn it you're so right. Why did I bother? 3 minutes of my life I'm not getting back
  18. I don't know about KJ, but that's just not true here. To a small extent, sure, but mostly it isn't. Why did Matrix handily beat out Inception in that one Speakeasy poll if this place blindly followed Nolan? Why is it that in the thread that asks the question whether or not Nolan is a top 5 director, the overwhelming majority says no? Why is it that in threads throughout the Speakeasy, people often point out Cameron as the superior filmmaker? Because this forum for the most part approaches these polls with a level head. Again, for the most part. If this was a pro Nolan forum to the extent you say it is, Cameron lovers would get bashed around here, but put up a poll and ask who is the superior director and I bet Nolan loses. And if he does win, it's certainly not going to be any landslide either. You are simply pushing your bias and projecting one view onto everyone on this site and that's simply not true.
  19. Agreed. Be on the look out for that popping up as my number one action scene in film history.
  20. Halloween 10/10Halloween 2 9/10Halloween H20 8.5/10Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers 8.2/10Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers 8/10Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers 7.8/10Halloween 2007 4.5/10Halloween 2009 4.0/10Halloween Resurrection .01/10Halloween 3:Season of the Witch is not a Halloween film in my book. If I had to rank it as a standalone film, I'd give it a 5/10 or something like that.
  21. Agreed. That episode last night was good. Hayden's character is a witch, but after the episode last night you feel some sympathy for her which just adds to the complexity. It isn't your typical good vs bad.The bad in this case, albeit pretty evil, has a very human and vulnerable side which is cool to see.
