  1. Ant-man has been a very pleasant surprise film. Very glad to see this successful numbers
  2. Don't get me wrong. I would love to see Bond making again the billion mark. I like a lot this saga. But I think Skyfall was a rarity. Too many favorable factors . This year it has not the same, starting with the film quality that seems to not match Skyfall's
  3. According my last calculation, about $980m, but it was some months ago. Anyway, I do not think that number has changed substantially. That number would be taking into account the record in UK and $300m in US. If we consider that Spectre can drop about $50m in each market relative to Skyfall, we would have that Spectre would be doing about $880m. Even considering that Spectre can sell the same amount of admissions in the rest of markets than Skyfall (mainly France and Germany), what I think is unlikely, it needs another $120m increase in Latin America / China to get the billion. There are chances, but I see it difficult.
  4. With current exchange rates, Skyfall would not had done 1 billion today. Unless it explodes in China, and considering that Spectre is not likely to match Skyfall in both UK and US (I think it can lose $50m in each market), I do not see the billion. IMHO, about $900m would be the target.
  5. October 30 - November 5: 1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 3. Suicide Squad 4. The Good Dinosaur 5. Star Trek Beyond 6. Captain America: Civil War 7. The Hateful Eight 8. Bourne 5 9. The Revenant 10. The Magnificent Seven
  6. I do not know if this has been mentioned but I do not find the option "My Content" in my profile, which listed the threads I had posted in during last 365 days. Maybe it exists and I have not found it, but if it doesn't exist, will it be included in the future? or it has been eliminated? Thank you in advance.
  7. Quite good for Hotel Transylvania. And good drop for The Martian. It should reach €10m. And next week, Fiesta del Cine
  8. October 23 - 29: 1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 3. Suicide Squad 4. The Good Dinosaur 5. Star Trek Beyond 6. Captain America: Civil War 7. The Hateful Eight 8. Bourne 5 9. The Revenant 10. The Magnificent Seven
  9. Great for IO. But I love too those crazy unpredictable local films runs
  10. Very goop opening for The Martian and huge drop for Regression. It is clear that last weekend drops were not very normal because of national holiday.
  11. I know it. I meant that Minions has been bigger than IO in many markets, not just China. That is what worries me.
  12. 4,267,855 admissions. On par to Toy Story 3, for instance, but quite behind Minions (6.3 million admissions)
  13. I love Inside Out. It is the film of the year until now. But I think Ant-Man is a quite good film. I think it is more shameful that Minions is a 400% higher than IO in China (and quite higher in many other countries). I see that detail quite more worrying.
  14. I prefer to compare Yuan amounts. GotG did around 595 million Yuan, if I am not wrong. That is the amount to beat.
  15. So we can already forget that panic moment that people had here when both Minions and MI5 did not reach the amounts we had predicted and everybody had asumed as normal given the growth of the market... IMO, Ant-Man making something close to $100m in China is a huge surprise. No matters what we compare to.
  16. October 16 - 22: 1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 3. Suicide Squad 4. The Good Dinosaur 5. Star Trek Beyond 6. Captain America: Civil War 7. The Hateful Eight 8. Bourne 5 9. The Revenant 10. The Magnificent Seven
