So no need to point fingers to one specific country. Why is Mc Donald chain so popular all over the world selling cheap food and making billions out of it ? Mediocrity is subjective and from all the movies out in May, none hold the candle as the high intellect one some make it sound to be as opposed to the likes of IM3. No Trek, no Gatsby, no nothing. They are ALL pure entertaining products with basic intellect value in them... And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, that's why most people will go to the theaters as opposed as watching TV : pure Entertainment and stress release. Books are the ones that have the most intellect stuff in them. Not movies whose investments are millions times more expensive. The best movies are often not released ands traight up to video. Few people know or are interesed about knowing the freshness and candor of the african movies from subsahrian regions, the intimacy and cinema d'auteur of old german, french or italian movies. The glamour of old morrocan movies. Finland has great movies too.
