REVISED Weekend Estimates 6/14--6/16: Man of Steel OW $116.7M($128.7M including WM)

9m is very solid midnight number. However based on other Superhero midnights and the fact that it's June that doesn't bode well for 100m OW imo. That's only a bit over half of IM3's mid take and that was May not June. I'd say that midnight puts it on track for 90m or so. Which would be a very strong OW for it still.

IM3 made 170M, not barely scratch 100M.

We can't just completely subtract the 12M Walmarts and say the midnights are 9M, a lot of people who bought those Walmart tickets were fans who would have otherwise bought regular midnight tickets

It’s also the all-time highest superhero late show record, surpassing The Avengers’ remarkable $18.7M and The Dark Knight‘s$18.5M. Of course, any such record must come with an asterisk because recently Hollywood studios have interpreted ‘midnights’ as beginning at 7 PM Thursday and sometimes continuing throughout the night into early dawn. So that stops any movie-to-movie direct comparison of late show grosses.

She's clearly trolling right here.

Someone mentioned how the main focus might be the Walmart tickets. That user might be right. Why all the noise when it makes a great start? Why not before?I think if this didn't open this much, no one will be making a fuss about it.Besides 9m is more than great. It's super

It's not like the people who bought Wal-Mart tickets wouldn't have gone to see it otherwise...

True, but what it does is inflate the Friday number even greater than it otherwise would be. Those Wal-mart buyers likely would have been more spread out over the weekend normally. So expect a huge Sat drop.

They count just as much as Regular 7PM - 10PM previews.
