Hellboy 2 would most likely have had a rough drop regardless, but it really got kneecapped by having it's second weekend run up against Dark Knight's monster opening.

2.2X is Twilight territory.  That means it had its fans and branched out to no one else.

Ah, yes, its all about the money. Posted Image

From what I've seen so far, Bayformers fans seem to be jealous of the good reviews Pacific Rim got(almost certified fresh) and are trying to say Pacific Rim isn't any better in anyway, lol.

That's beyond ridiculous. I haven't seen it yet, but other then the Bay humor it seems both are pretty much the same. And that's from our own forum users, so I don't know why you think TF fans are trying to hate on PR.

Maybe it is better in some ways ( probably not by a huge amount) but its fanbase certainly isnt doing it any favors.

Jealous becsuse PR has a 72% rating? Lol im not even a big fan of the TF films but they are huge hits and are some of the top sellers on home video, while PR will likely be found in a DVD bargain bin in a year or two

What I hate certified fresh is Amazing Spider Man is certified fresh and has same reviews as Pacific Rim.

Is David Lynch consider a working film maker or not?

He don't think he ll ever come back.

Hollywood don't want him anymore, he has no purpose in today's landscape.

And he s not getting younger either.

My list:

1. Nolan

2. Spielberg

3. Cameron/JJ Abrams

Others that sell me on a movie immediatly: Tarantino, Bay, Coen brothers, Woody Allen, Snyder, Wachowski brothers, del Toro, Roland Emmerich, Matthew Vaughn, Martin Scorsese, Justin Lin, James Wan, Brian Synger, Garreth Edwards, Duncan Jones, Rian Johnson and Neil Blomkamp.

I may be forgetting someone.

Michael Bay's Fan Club :

Steven Spielberg

Christropher Nolan

James Cameron

:hi5::popcorn::stirthepot::shades:

:worthy:

Problem I have with PR fans is the arrogance in that this film would be anazing and a huge break out snide remarks they've constantly been making against TF fans all over the web. Like how it's the "thinking mans Transformers". Thinking mans TF? Really? There is probably nothing in PR that requires any more usage of the brain than a TF film. It's the same simple story. The arrogance of PR fans online has almost turned me off the film. I'll still se me it though

THIS! I love both movies but both are "don't think about it just enjoy the ride" type of movies that don't even try to be important and serious (unlike MoS, Nolan opus). They embraced their cheese. Simple. I actually have respect for that over crap that we are getting lately where everyone is ashamed of what their movie's roots are:

drama that only happens to have a giant ape, not a fantasy movie (King Kong)

crime drama that just happens to have a costumed hero (Nolan's Batman)

Star Wars by the way of Trek cause Trek isn't all that (Nu Trek)

Fuck that. There's nothing wrong with a simple monster movie, comic book and Trek since all of them managed to be classics while only 1 out of 6 movies from the list above has a shot and nothing else. But time will tell.

So if GdT doesn't think it's a thinking manfest why should his fanboys?
