Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted July 20, 2013 Founder / Operator Share Posted July 20, 2013 IM3 is not a bad movie but I completely disliked the 2nd half of the movie. It turned into a complete joke. Literally. I felt the same, worsening the second time I saw it. But, still, I really like the things they got right about the movie with Tony's arc. fishstick
WWZ doesn't give a shit at this point. It's perceived as a hit while TLR is perceived as a flop.

Founder / Operator Shawn Robbins Posted July 20, 2013 Founder / Operator Share Posted July 20, 2013 I enjoyed the "Fake" villain 10x better. Great idea, mixed execution for me.
fishstick
IM3 execution was bad because they didn't develop real villain. If they had awesome fake and awesome real than the edning would work (assuming they also didn't go with stupid Super Pepper).
Gideon
Except that most people thought it was the worst part because it came without any good build-up and nobody buys Paltry in that type of a role. Why do we need a "build-up" for anything now? Did Pepper needed some origin-thing too? From CEO to super-heroine. The shock value was good enough. Once i saw her, protected by the armor in the house's destruction, i thought: cool, the "Rescuer thing" could be like that. That type of role? It's called "contrast"! The bigger, the more efficient. (well, still in the credibility-zone, of course!)
