BOF presents: The Top 20 Action Scenes Ever!

Recommended Posts

The Reloaded and Revolutions scenes might be heavy on CGI, but to me, they still manage to be ridiculously exciting; I rewatched them as I was reading the thread, and I was grinning like a kid. Whereas 90% of today's CGI set-pieces leave me cold. I would've killed to see Reloaded and Revolutions on an IMAX screen.

Too bad in Box office Casino we couldnt make bets for what we think will be number one. The way this site is its either the cafe end scene in TDKR or The Hobbit Dinner scene. :)

Didn't even know there was a vote ... don't spend enough time here obviously :)

btw if it comes to real-life action, I hope the crane chase from T3 made the Top10 (otherwise pretty forgettable movie, but that chase was something to behold). And I have a deep love for train movies, so some train chase or train action (Emperor of the North maybe) should be in there too!

Wow.  Cool.  A film I haven't seen.  Must check that one out.

So my prediction for next 9:

In no particular order:

Raiders of the Lost Ark opening

Matrix lobby scene (going to rescue Morpheus)

TDK chase scene (barf)

Something from ROTK

Something from TTT

Terminator 2 final chase

Raiders truck scene where Indy hangs off the bottom of the truck

That's all I can think of.

YESSSS!!!!!!!!

I honestly did not think this would make it but damn am I happy it did.  I voted for this as one of my 25 and (not to sound like an octogenarian) but for me to have such a recent film make the cut, for me, it had to be something special.  I love this film and love this scene.

#8:

Saving Private Ryan (1998):

"Omaha Beach"

director: Steven Spielberg

Another one I'm shocked that made it.  I voted for this one too, so again, happy to see it there.
