I didn't watch a lot of TV when I was a kid but a lot of the classic 'toons were still appealing in college: Animaniacs, Adventures of Batman, Ren and Stimpy, etc. What's interesting today is that during the decade when sitcoms basically weren't the big network draw they used to be (post-Seinfeld, post-Friends), a lot of the major sitcom talent migrated to Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, which were the only places still producing traditional sitcoms (albeit aimed at kids). So there are tremendously talented people working on Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana, Victorious, etc.Of course, now that sitcoms are making a comeback on network TV, we'll see if there's a talent drain away from Nick and Disney.
