I caught the pilot when it first aired and was hooked from the start. It kinda falls apart in the later seasons, but the first 5 are great and really helped genre TV regain a foothold on network TV.

One of my favourites as well. One of those rare shows that actually increased ratings for the first 5 seasons.

I loved the self-contained episodes that dealt with the weird or the paranormal.But the whole truth-is-out-there plot, while compelling at first, got so tiresome and convoluted that it started to feel like the show was spinning its wheels. In the end, much to my annoyance, I just found myself tuning to something else.Still a groundbreaking show though, for sure

It seems every year there are several new genre "mythology" shows trying to be the next X-Files but hardly any succeed.

Let's not forget Vince Gilligan got his big break writing for the X-Files.

i read about it , very excited should it actually come to fruition , i'd love to see x-files take on the world today compared to 20-ish yrs ago i think its amazing that both leads are willing to consider it

Not a good idea.  Some shows should not have a reboot, and The X-Files is one of them.  Sad.

Did you guys even read the article? It says they want to reboot it (or at least revive it) WITH Duchovny and Anderson.
