I think if it offers large scale destruction I can't see how this does not do well.

 

Plus overseas competition is tame this year in the summer.

The success of tent pole movies like POTC4 is great and all but really, STRANGER TIDE is really crap. Excellent production value, the actor who play Blackbeard is well cast, but the rest of it is dull & muddy including the uninterested Depp & the Miss Good Time herself, Cruz.
