Ugh, I thought it was a giant mess. (And I'm a big JMS fan in general). It's a really interesting bit of history but the movie is so overstuffed.... it can never figure out what sort of story it's telling. And I didn't care for Jolie's performance.

Jolie was crazy good in Changeling from what i remember, haven't seen it since 2009 I think.

She's vampy and preening for an award. It doesn't feel like a real person at all, it feels like an alien's concept of what that woman would act like. It -- and the movie -- are like this odd, fetishist take on *A* *P*E*R*I*O*D* *M*O*V*I*E*.
