Literally just found out this film exists. If they had gone the cgi route, Mario style, i honestly think this could of been a 600mil, even 700mil monster.

Now i see its live action, i just dont know.

Make no mistake though, this game is even bigger and more loved than Mario with kids, and more importantly its very current.

It could be massive either way but i feel live action could limit its potential.

Question is is Minecraft good material for a movie?

I think it is like Sims or Sim City.good sandbox game but don't think it is  good movie material.

Trailer with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice or Joker 2? Both will be big but i think that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a better fit.

Think they might just save it for Sonic 3/LoTR

Who said that it will be theatrical only? Are those rumors or ?

WB dropped the Barbie trailer as a theater only surprise when Avatar came out so I'm assuming they're doing the same with this to reach maximum eyeballs before Beetlejuice (both being WB and all).

Edit: nevermind, they just released it online.

Strikes me as a $1B grosser.

Before now I'd agree but idk even critic proofing only goes so far. At least Borderlands seemed to be trying, but this feels like the OLD video game adaptations where they have an IP and try to crank something out before it goes out of popularity
