ITALY (Botteghino): 'Kung Fu Panda 4' becomes biggest 2024 film

Damm :( Was  it so bad ? :(

Answer below. It does not contain any spoiler, but since there are some comments about the structure of the movie, I'm hiding it just to be sure it doesn't hurt anyone.

Spoiler

It wasn't bad, but I found it to be unpleasant, which is even worse, imo. No chemistry among the main trio (like they barely knew each others), the complexity of Thanos declined considerably. One of the characters has been ruined. The need for celebration makes the movie so damn linear, 2/3 of it are a self-referential flat electroencephalogram, until the final battle...which is good but too hasty. It's mostly flat and cold - though considering the general level of sensibility common people have, I'm not surprised the movie has been described as "emotional". If you are a potato, it certainly is.

The best thing of the movie is that Cap and Iron Man, as separate characters, work extremely well. Also, Captain Marvel has been handled in a perfect way.

Wonder Woman adjusted for inflation is defo last..sad. Italy completely missed the train.

Edit: ah fighting with F4 (2015)

Yeah, it's really sad how badly that movie performed. My personal fave among all SH films.

The early June release surely didn't help (it's a time of the year where people here aren't in the mood of going to the cinema, and Pirates 5 - released the week before - was a much more appealing option for Italian moviegoers), but the failure was so massive that it just did not connect with people.

Endgame:

1. 5.167

2. €3.848

3.

4.

5.

Infinity War:

1. 2.944m

2. €1.011m

3.  €1.241m

4. €1.729m

5. €2.028m

So far 9.0 euros = $10.0m. Last year 5 days opening was $11m (according to Mojo and that time exchange rates).
