Question about 19.8 - What will be the fourth highest grossing film of May?

I assume this means, what film (with a May release date) will have the fourth-largest gross, right?

Thanks for saving me from losing -40,000 points :)

I didn't realise there was a question 19 so I have just answered it now

Bonus Question of all Bonus Questions:

This is a four parter:

1) Will ASM2 make at least 260 million domestically? YES
2) Will ASM2 make more than 600 million internationally? NO
3) Will ASM2 do at least 10 million for midnights (including Thurs)? ABSTAIN
4)) Will ASM2 make at least 900 million WW? NO

Scoring: All questions you answer correctly are worth 7000 points. You can go for as many as you like.

Here is the catch: Every answer you call incorrectly you lose 10,000 points.

There are no points for abstaining, with one caveat down below. ***

Even more bonus and more treachery:

If you go 4/4 you get a 28,000 point bonus. So this means you will get a total of 56,000 points for this question (7000X4 plus 28,000 point bonus)

However, if you go for all 4 you must get all four correct. If you get even one incorrect, you will lose 15,000 points. So what this means is, if you go for all four and even if you get 3/4 correct, not only will you NOT get the 11,000 but you will lose a full 15,000 points.

This question is worth a lot of points for those ballsy enough to go for all 4, but it will kick your ass if you get too cocky. PLEASE READ THIS ONE CAREFULLY AND UNDERSTAND IT FULLY. IF YOU DO NOT, THEN ASK ME. ONCE THE GAME STARTS, CLAIMING YOU DIDN'T READ IT RIGHT WILL NOT BE AN EXCUSE.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS IF YOU GO FOR ALL FOUR QUESTIONS, YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST GET ALL FOUR RIGHT IN ORDER TO GET POINTS.

Remember, you don't have to answer any of them. Or you can answer as little as you want. It's totally up to you.

You can choose to go for as many or as little as you want.

***CAVEAT***

If you choose to abstain from all 4, you will get 5000 for doing so.
You must tell me if you are abstaining.

NEW QUESTION:

This is a four part question. Again, you have choices.
Answer any part of the question. Each answer you get correct you will receive 7000 points. Each answer you get wrong, you will lose 7000 points. If you go for all four parts of the question, you must get all four parts correct. If you get even one wrong after going for it all, you will lose 7,000 points. You can go for all of it, none of it and some of it. Choice is yours.

17)

A) Will any film listed as a horror OR thriller film by boxofficemojo.com gross more than 70 million dollars this summer? NO
B. Will any film listed as a horror OR thriller film by boxofficemojo.com open to more than 30 mill? NO
C) Will any film listed as a horror OR thriller film by boxofficemojo.com have a second weekend drop of less than 47%? ABSTAIN
D) Will any film listed as a horror OR thriller film by boxofficemojo.com have an opening day of more than 15 mill? NO

Get any question right: 7000
Get any question wrong: -7000
Abstain from all four questions: 5000
Go for all four, and get all four correct not only will you get the 28,000, you get a bonus of 28,000. But you must go for all four to qualify for the bonus

If you go for all four, you must get all four correct. An incorrect result on even one question will result in a loss of 25,000 points!

NEW QUESTION: QUESTION 18:

What will the highest grossing comedy be in each of the first three months of the summer? So for the months of May, June and July, tell me the highest comedy to come out of each month. Obviously, each film has until the end of the summer to make its money.

May: Neighbors 181m

June: 22 Jump Street 155.5m

July: Tammy 119m

4th abstain

Scoring:

For each month you call correctly, you get 15,000 points.

For each film you call incorrectly, you lose 5000 points.

For a bonus, tell me the next highest grossing comedy to come out of May, June and July. So, how it works is as follows. Each month will have one comedy that will be the highest grossing. Those three films will rank 1-2 and 3. Then you pick the next highest grossing film out of the three months (only pick one film). Now obviously, the next highest grossing film could be bigger than some of the films in gross, but kind of like seeding in some professional sports, it will still be the fourth highest ranked film because it came in second in that particular month.

If you can call the fourth highest film correctly, you get a bonus of 25,000. If however you go for the fourth film, you must get this film right, if you do not, you do not qualify for the points you earned on parts 1,2 and 3 and you will lose 15,000 total.

Question 19

New addition to the game this year:

Here are ten twenty additional questions. For every question you get right, 5000 points. For every question you get wrong, -2000 points. These are mandatory questions. There is no abstaining. Anyone who does not answer these twenty questions, loses 40,000 points.

If you answer 18 correct, bonus of 25,000

If you answer 19 correct, bonus of 35,000

Question 20: This is the final preseason question. I promise.

For these questions there is no abstaining, unless you choose to not answer any of them, in which you will receive 5000 points. But that is your only option for abstaining, you must abstain from all of them.

You realize there's a 20th question too, right?

Yeah, I somehow did that one and 1-18 and every other question but missed 19 (was it added as a new question because I remember working my answers out for question 20 using the new topic questions in the winter game forum and not the first page on this thread questions and I had already completed 1-18)

We know more than the average site does.

Not kidding either.

Yeah, right now unless we are really overlooking a movie I can't see any one that will be able to top HTTYD2, especially given this summer's circumstances with only 2 animated films (one being a unwanted sequel to a DisneyToons spin-off of the least popular Pixar franchise)

Is anyone else finding themselves being drawn to potentially screwing themselves over because of one film?I'm in this situation with Lucy. The trailer cast and everything about it looks cool enough to me that I want it to be a 100M grossing film and I feel like it should be, yet all logic dictates that it won't even get close and putting it in my top 15 is just giving myself a 30,000 point or so deficit on everyone else. But I keep readdding it to my list despite myself. (I did the same with After Earth last year)
