a2k Posted May 2, 2014 Share Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) Probably a good barometer since word of mouth will be similar. had good legs despite a mixed(at best) wom. 90m=>241m. though weekend 2 was memorial day, and as it was closer to summer (opened on 20th may) the strong weekdays kicked in soon enough. on the other hand, had kfp2 and hangover2 in weekend 2, while tasm2 has lesser competition. Sony doesn't own Bond I think like they own Spidey film's rights. Don't think they are making top dollars on Bond film grosses, they are merely distributing it for the two families that owned and produced Bond for the last 50 years. The Broccolis and the other one.
