Bryan Cranston’s Zordon was indeed original the Red Ranger millions of years ago before being transformed into a state of pure energy.

Bill Hader’s Alpha 5 is a robot with a supple metallic body. Able to mutate into different design to maximize his role.

The Zords are massive. In the movie posters, the Rangers are used to put the size of these new Zords into perspective, and they appear to be significantly bigger than what we’ve seen previously in the past.

Anyone who grew up in the ’90s knows the Power Rangers theme song. In the most recent trailer, an updated version of the “Power Rangers” theme for the upcoming film is revealed in the closing moments.

Goldar’s molecular essence is scattered around the globe after he was vaporized into a cloud of microscopic gold particles in the opening action sequence on Ancient Earth. Rita Repulsa is collecting gold to resurrect Goldar and the Rangers have just 71 hours to stop her.

Putties will make an appearance in “Power Rangers” in a scene where Rita Repulsa is trying to steal gold bullion from the Central Bank of Russia. Five Putties made of stone in a later scene challenge the Rangers.

Rangers are drawn from the free planets… The best and most disciplined chosen from billions… Taught from the time they were children…

The Zeo Crystal is an artifact that channels the Morphing Grid — a dimension that weaves through all things. It’s what gives the “Power Rangers” their power. The crystal was hidden on Earth to keep it out of the hands of those who would use it as a weapon. The Zeo Crystal is protected by a force field. Anything that comes in contact with it is vaporized.

Goldar was created with a single purpose — to penetrate the force field and steal the crystal. Rita is collecting his fragments to resurrect him.

Rita Repulsa has been trying to deliver the Zeo Crystal to her master, Lord Zedd, for a long time. It would make quite a statement, as he burned half his face off trying to steal it himself.

There are 3 news items about this movie today.  The first is something that has been expected for a while now:

 

Goldar has been revealed...in toy form, again, and with a toy commercial to go along with it.  TokuNation has pictures and the commercial, which could possibly be considered a spoiler, although it won't be a big surprise to many out there.

 

From IGN, there will a graphic novel sequel to the movie released from Boom Studios, the comic book company with the current rights to the Power Rangers IP.

 

And from a Qualcomm press release, there is to be a Power Rangers "zord simulator" VR experience at CES next month.

This is going to be as good as fant4stic except that was an ill-fated movie with the director not ready for such type of project, massive studio interference and frankly an incomplete movie.
