I disagree. I think Godzilla is either loved or liked. I have seen very little out-right hate. It's just that we are on the internet and those who says they didn't love the movie, get tagged as a haters at times. Then they get bitter and actually start hating.

Out of 73 grades on RTM, Godzilla has 56 A,B and 17 C,D

Well to be fair there are over a billion people in the world, so sometimes it can be very hard to tell what the overall opinion on a movie is.

Also, what's with the major cameo spoiler in the new Million Ways to Die in the West trailer? That would've been a showstopping cameo if it was left a surprise, but as it is, it's like if 21 Jump Street had advertised Johnny Depp getting shot multiple times

That's an understatement, over 7 billion people.

Sweet, 2013 had two female-led films on top. Love that

A fairly prominent user on here has seen a sneak peak of about 10 mins of footage and he says that Bay has taken action to an entirely new level and it blew his mind. Take that for what you will.

And it wasn't me.  :)  (not that I matter in the real world)

I've seen a lot of love and a lot of hate. Very little in between.

Well to be fair there are over a billion people in the world, so sometimes it can be very hard to tell what the overall opinion on a movie is.

that's true. we can only go by a subset of people and extrapolate. 73 grades is too less i agree.

RT has 166k votes but it does not breakdown the grades. so we don't know whether 73% rating reflects most liking the movie(7/10,7/10, 7/10, etc.) or, many loving it and a few hating it(9/10,9/10,3/10,etc).

imdb has that breakdown with 85k votes, and most are centered around 6-8/10.

9/10,10/10 - 31%

6/10, 7/10, 8/10 - 54.5%

1-5/10 - 14.5%

so i'll say it's liked as opposed to love vs hate
